Who are the rich &amp; powerful being protected?\u201d Khanna&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RoKhanna\/status\/1944243029981770104\">said in a post<\/a>&nbsp;on the social platform X over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn Tuesday, I\u2019m introducing an amendment to force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe Speaker must call a vote &amp; put every Congress member on record.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\"><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Why are the Epstein files still hidden? The Speaker must call a vote &amp; put every Congress member on record.<\/p>&mdash; Ro Khanna (@RoKhanna) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RoKhanna\/status\/1944243029981770104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 13, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Justice Department last week&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/5387997-jeffrey-epstein-suicide-no-blacklist\/\">released a memo<\/a>&nbsp;concluding there was no evidence suggesting the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender kept a \u201cclient list\u201d to blackmail high-profile individuals. The memo also found no evidence to suggest foul play in Epstein\u2019s death, which had previously been ruled a suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The memo spurred fierce backlash from many Trump supporters, who had long called on the government to release material on Epstein that they argue would expose wrongdoing at the highest level of elite circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Far-right activist\u00a0Laura Loomer,\u00a0a staunch ally of\u00a0President Trump,\u00a0said Sunday night there should be a special counsel to\u00a0examine the handling of files\u00a0related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loomer, who has bashed Attorney General\u00a0Pam Bondi\u00a0for her handling of\u00a0the Epstein documents, told Politico\u2019s Playbook newsletter that a\u00a0special counsel should be appointed\u00a0\u201cso that people can feel like this issue is being investigated, and perhaps take it out of [Bondi\u2019s] hands, because I don\u2019t think that she has been transparent or done a good job handling this issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much of the frustration from MAGA allies has been directed at Attorney General\u00a0Pam Bondi,\u00a0who said earlier this year that files were on her desk but then seemed to suggest they did not exist by releasing the memo last week. Bondi argued she was referring to the case file on Epstein, not a specific \u201cclient list.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump has remained adamant in his position and\u00a0has fiercely defended\u00a0Bondi against the onslaught of backlash.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s going on with my \u2018boys\u2019 and, in some cases, \u2018gals?\u2019 They\u2019re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and \u2018selfish people\u2019 are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/jeffrey-epstein\/\">Jeffrey Epstein,<\/a>\u201d Trump said in the social media post on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dan Bongino, the Deputy Director of the FBI, reportedly threatened to leave the bureau if Attorney General Pam Bondi remains on the job due to her handling of the Epstein files, a source close to Bongino told The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One source close to Bongino predicted to Axios, \u201cHe ain\u2019t coming back.\u201d Trump administration officials, however, are saying that Bongino remains on the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Donald Trump said on Sunday he believes FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is \u201cin good shape\u201d following a reported clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI spoke to him today,\u201d Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MaryMargOlohan\/status\/1944547522002755872\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a>\u00a0reporters at Joint Base Andrews. \u201cDan Bongino, very good guy. I\u2019ve known him a long time. I\u2019ve done his show many, many times. And he sounded terrific actually.
