Charlamagne Tha God\u00a0revealed his choice for president in 2028 \u2014 and it\u2019s fellow political media personality\u00a0Jon Stewart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Breakfast Club<\/em>\u00a0radio host recently shared his political hopes during a sit-down with Fox News host\u00a0Lara Trump, who is also the daughter-in-law of President\u00a0Donald Trump.\u00a0She has been\u00a0hosting<\/a>\u00a0a Fox News show since late February. This interview is set to air this Saturday on Fox News at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI would love to see Jon Stewart run in 2028. If we\u2019re talking about like a change agent coming from the outside that\u2019s really going to shake things up and somebody that I feel like can speak to, you know, all people, plus we actually, he\u2019s a celebrity who actually knows what they\u2019re talking about,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe\u2019ve seen him get legislation and stuff, you know, passed before, like, we know where his heart is, he\u2019d be somebody I\u2019d like to see really get in the race and disrupt things in 2028. Maybe a Jon Stewart-Colbert ticket, because, you know, Colbert\u2019s not going to have a job. He\u2019s not working because of President Trump, so they say.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Stewart, who\u00a0returned<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0The Daily Show<\/em>\u00a0in a part-time capacity a year and a half ago, has long been admired by both fans and lawmakers for his advocacy on veterans\u2019 health care and\u00a09\/11 first responder legislation. However, Stewart has consistently expressed zero presidential ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Earlier this week, former vice president Kamala Harris further fueled 2028 White House rumors when she announced she will not run for governor of California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn recent months, I have given serious thought to asking the people of California for the privilege to serve as their Governor. I love this state, its people, and its promise. It is my home. But after deep reflection, I\u2019ve decided that I will not run for Governor in this election,\u201d Harris said in a statement. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n The former vice president said she spent time reflecting over the past six months since losing in November after she took over the Democratic ticket when former President Biden dropped out of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI have extraordinary admiration and respect for those who dedicate their lives to public service\u2014service to their communities and to our nation. At the same time, we must recognize that our politics<\/a>, our government, and our institutions have too often failed the American people, culminating in this moment of crisis,\u201d Harris said. \u201cAs we look ahead, we must be willing to pursue change through new methods and fresh thinking\u2014committed to our same values and principles, but not bound by the same playbook.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n
