South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace announced she is entering the race to become South Carolina’s next governor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mace made her official announcement at her alma mater, The Citadel, a senior military college, on Monday. The congresswoman was the first woman to graduate from the college in 1999. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis morning I am making it official. I am running to be your governor of the great state of South Carolina,\u201d Mace said, speaking from the school. \u201cI didn\u2019t come to join the club. They don\u2019t want me and I don\u2019t want them. I came to hold the line.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSouth Carolina is tired of the politicians who smile for the cameras, lie to your face, and then vanish when it\u2019s time to lead,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday, Mace posted a video<\/a> that concludes with a graphic that reads \u201cNancy Mace For Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDo you like our X header?\u201d she\u00a0asked in a post on the social media site<\/a>\u00a0with the same image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
