President Donald Trump has made his clearest endorsement yet for a future Republican presidential candidate, declaring that Vice President JD Vance is \u201cmost likely\u201d to carry the MAGA torch after his second term ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on Tuesday, Trump described Vance as \u201cprobably the favorite\u201d to lead the Republican Party into the next election cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s most likely the heir,\u201d Trump said, referring to Vance. \u201cHe understands the movement, he understands the people, and he\u2019s doing a phenomenal job as Vice President.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the furthest Trump has gone in positioning a successor to his populist-nationalist agenda, formally known as the Make America Great Again movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump also praised Secretary of State Marco Rubio, calling him \u201csomebody that maybe would get together with JD in some form,\u201d suggesting Rubio could play a key role in a future Vance-led administration or campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
