Actress and liberal activist Rosie O\u2019Donnell once again lashed out at President Donald Trump \u2014 so intensely, in fact, that even her own therapist doesn\u2019t understand the depth of her anger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appearing Monday on MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace\u2019s podcast The Best People<\/em>, O\u2019Donnell described Trump as a \u201cmadman\u201d and insisted he\u2019s a threat to every American. She admitted that she cannot comprehend how millions of Americans don\u2019t share her deep-seated hostility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI don\u2019t know, Nicolle, how it is that some people cannot see it,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said. \u201cMy therapist said, \u2018Why are you so upset?\u2019 And I said to her, why are you not?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wallace responded sympathetically, saying, \u201cYeah, I have that conversation too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n O\u2019Donnell went on to warn of alleged harm the president is causing \u2014 such as supposedly cutting Medicaid funding \u2014 claiming ominously, \u201cWhat he\u2019s done now hasn\u2019t even hit us yet. And if he\u2019s not stopped now, we have lost our country.\u201d O\u2019Donnell did not clarify what she meant by \u201cstopping\u201d the president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n O\u2019Donnell\u2019s public fixation on Trump dates back years. One of the most famous flashpoints came during the 2015 GOP primary debate when Trump, pressed by Megyn Kelly on his sharp remarks about certain women, quipped he was \u201conly\u201d referring to O\u2019Donnell \u2014 a moment that drew cheers and laughter from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The animosity only grew. Earlier this year, O\u2019Donnell followed through on past threats to leave the United States, moving to Ireland after Trump\u2019s reelection. She described the move overseas as necessary for her \u201csanity,\u201d a stark indication of how politics have dominated her personal life. Friends and observers have noted how O\u2019Donnell, once a beloved comedian and talk show host, has seen her public image sour and her career stall as she\u2019s poured more energy into anti-Trump activism than entertainment.
