Dominion Voting Systems has been sold to Liberty Vote, a new election technology firm led by former Republican election official Scott Leiendecker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leiendecker previously served as elections director in St. Louis, Missouri, and is best known as the founder of KNOWiNK, a company that supplies electronic poll books used across the country. (KNOWiNK has been one of the most widely adopted digital check-in systems for voters in the U.S.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a press release from Liberty Vote, the company\u2019s mission is to \u201crestore public confidence\u201d in elections by providing systems that are \u201ctransparent, secure, and trustworthy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs of today, Dominion is gone,\u201d the statement said. \u201cLiberty Vote assumes full ownership and operational control.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Politico reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The voting company sued Fox News for the false claims and reached a $787.5 million settlement in the case \u2014 marking the largest defamation-related settlement<\/a>.
