Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is finally responding to the surprise attack from former President Donald Trump last week, calling it “noise.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DeSantis was asked by a reporter what he thinks about Trump\u2019s \u201cbig announcement\u201d tonight and his thoughts about Trump repeatedly attacking him. Ron DeSantis, Glenn Youngkin<\/a>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, you know, one of the things I\u2019ve learned in this job is when you\u2019re doing, when you\u2019re leading, when you\u2019re getting things done, you take incoming fire, that\u2019s just the nature of it,\u201d DeSantis said. \u201cI roll out of bed in the morning, I\u2019ve got corporate media outlets that have a spasm, just the fact that I\u2019m getting up in the morning, and it\u2019s constantly attacking, and this is just what\u2019s happened.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI don\u2019t think any governor got attacked more particularly by corporate media than me over my four-year term,\u201d DeSantis continued. \u201cAnd yet, I think what you learn is all that\u2019s just noise. And really what matters is: Are you leading? Are you getting in front of issues? Are you delivering results for people? And are you standing up for folks? And if you do that, then none of that stuff matters. And that\u2019s what we\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe focused on results and leadership. And, you know, at the end of the day, I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night,\u201d DeSantis continued. \u201cThe fact of the matter is, it was the greatest Republican victory in the history of the state of Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
