Donald Trump is not in the business of doubting himself…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former president who is currently on his third presidential campaign told Hugh Hewitt that he is not committed to backing the 2024 Republican nominee if it’s not him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mediaite<\/a>, during an interview with\u00a0Hugh Hewitt, once again, Trump harped about his former U.N. ambassador,\u00a0Nikki Haley, running for president after\u00a0pledging she wouldn\u2019t run\u00a0against Trump. After calling Haley \u201ca very ambitious person,\u201d Trump was asked about how Hewitt spoke to\u00a0Larry Hogan\u00a0(R) earlier in the day, who is also openly considering a 2024 run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Maryland governor said he would support whoever the Republican Party nominates in 2024, even though he refused to back Trump<\/a> in 2020. Thus, Hewitt asked Trump \u201cif you\u2019re not the nominee, will you support whoever the GOP nominee is?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt would depend,\u201d Trump answered. \u201cI would give you the same answer I gave in 2016 during the debate\u2026It would have to depend on who the nominee was.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Trump said, his answer harkens back to\u00a0the Fox News debate of 2015<\/a>\u00a0where he refused to pledge his support for whoever won the Republican primary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
