Facebook at the time said Trump would be barred from using both Facebook and Instagram for inciting violence, a violation of their terms of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is unclear whether Trump will use the platform\u2014though the former president was reinstated on Twitter last November, he has still not used his account, opting instead to use his own platform, Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, Facebook CEO Nick Clegg\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/01\/25\/trump-meta-facebook-instagram-social-media\">told<\/a>\u00a0<em>Axios<\/em> that Trump&#8217;s accounts would be reinstated &#8220;in coming weeks,&#8221; though he cautioned that future bans are on the table. &#8220;We&#8217;ve always believed that Americans should be able to hear from the people who want to lead the country,&#8221; Clegg told\u00a0<em>Axios<\/em>. &#8220;We don&#8217;t want to stand in the way of that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump\u00a0has yet to post on either his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DonaldTrump\">Facebook<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/realdonaldtrump\/\">Instagram<\/a>\u00a0accounts, which together have more than 50 million followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>This story is breaking.
