It’s going to take more than name-calling to upset Ron DeSantis. The Florida Governor recently acknowledged former President Donald Trump’s “Ron DeSanctimonious” nickname, admitting he kind of likes it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how to spell the sanctimonious one. I don\u2019t really know what it means, but I kinda like it, it\u2019s long, it\u2019s got a lot of vowels,\u201d DeSantis told television host Piers Morgan in an interview<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ll go with that, that\u2019s fine.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI mean, you can call me whatever you want, just as long as you also call me a winner because that\u2019s what we\u2019ve been able to do in Florida, is put a lot of points on the board and really take this state to the next level,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the former president has also workshopped other nicknames for DeSantis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After rejecting \u201cMeatball Ron,\u201d Trump reportedly floated \u201cRon DisHonest,\u201d \u201cRon DeEstablishment,\u201d and \u201cTiny D,\u201d but appeared to favor the original \u201cDeSanctimonious\u201d nickname.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo me, it\u2019s just background noise,\u201d DeSantis said of Trump\u2019s jabs. \u201cIt\u2019s not important for me to be fighting with people on social media. It\u2019s not accomplishing anything for the people I represent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump has taken aim at DeSantis in recent weeks as speculation continues to mount that the Florida Governor will soon announce his own 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, Trump responded to DeSantis’ interview with Morgan on Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
