Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy says that Tucker Carlson should enter the Republican primary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think he\u2019d be a good addition to the race,\u201d Ramaswamy said in an interview with POLITICO<\/a>, when asked whether he thinks the former Fox News host should mount his own presidential campaign. \u201cI think someone should only do this if they feel called to do it, but I think it\u2019d be good for the country if he got in, to be honest with you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called Carlson \u201cone of the smartest voices in the conservative movement,\u201d and lauded Carlson\u2019s willingness to \u201cdefect from party orthodoxy when necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s definitely a thought leadership vacuum in political media, across the political spectrum. And Tucker was one of the great political thinkers and commentators of our time,\u201d Ramaswamy said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The 37-year-old biotech entrepreneur and author of \u201cWoke Inc.\u201d\u00a0also recently squared off against fired CNN host Don Lemon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, it’s unclear what Carlson’s next step will be but it’s unlikely to include a run for the White House in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
