Trump is once again at the forefront of political attacks, this time by those who are attempting to disqualify the former President form appearing on New Hampshire\u2019s primary ballot by weaponizing Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment against him,\u201d the legislators\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/djt.nucleusemail.com\/amplify\/v\/ZDejAG6H5V?hids=OdQCbAz&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=ncl_amplify&amp;utm_campaign=230912-letter_to_new_hampshire_secretary_of_state_david_scanlan&amp;utm_content=ncl-dNwHxNHAqb&amp;_nlid=dNwHxNHAqb&amp;_nhids=OdQCbAz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote in a letter<\/a>\u00a0from the Trump campaign to Scanlan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/4199598-new-hampshire-lawmakers-press-state-official-to-reject-attempt-to-keep-trump-off-ballot\/\">The Hill<\/a>, Scanlan and state Attorney General John Formella (R) issued a statement last month saying they were aware of the discussion around the potential applicability of the 14th\u00a0Amendment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New Hampshire lawmakers called the argument an \u201cabsurd conspiracy theory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe opinions of those perpetuating this fraud against the will of the people are nothing more than a blatant attempt to affront democracy and disenfranchise all voters and the former president,\u201d they wrote. \u201cThese individuals who are seeking to deny voters to support their candidate of choice are nothing more than political pawns of the Left doing their bidding, which is disappointing since the Democrat Party has continually tried to strip New Hampshire of its First-in-the-Nation status.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The legislators pointed to Scanlan\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2024-election\/trump-supporters-flood-nh-election-office-calls-false-claims-ballot-ac-rcna102252\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">comments made to NBC News<\/a>&nbsp;late last month where he said he is \u201cnot seeking to remove any names from the presidential primary ballot, and I have not said that I am seeking to remove any names from the presidential primary ballot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe agree wholeheartedly and we should continue to empower voters, not disenfranchise them,\u201d the lawmakers wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/4189863-watchdog-group-sues-to-block-trump-from-2024-ballot-colorado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">follows a lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0from a Washington, D.C.-based watchdog group filed last week seeking to block Trump on the 2024 ballot in Colorado.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A group of lawmakers are pressuring New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan (R) to reject ongoing attempts to keep former President Trump off the 2024 ballot using the 14th\u00a0Amendment.\u00a0 \u201cPresident Donald J.
