Fox host Stuart Varney did not shy away from telling former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie that he doubts the presidential candidate will succeed while discussing the upcoming debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before adding his opinion on Christie’s electability, Varney asked the candidate to give some insight into the current debate stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf the people who are going to be on the debate stage less than two weeks away. Here\u2019s your opportunity. Who do you think spews, if I may use that word, the most BS?\u201d Varney asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, Stuart, I\u2019ll just base it on the last debate and it\u2019s no doubt it\u2019s\u00a0Vivek Ramaswamy. He has absolutely no clue what he\u2019s talking about on Ukraine. No idea what he\u2019s talking about with China and Taiwan. He wants to abandon Israel. This is a guy who has read a lot of books but hasn\u2019t done much. And so I think he wins the award from debate number one. But we\u2019ll be together in California in two weeks. We can make a decision who spews the most in debate number two,\u201d Christie asked.
\u201cSo you will make that decision, will not be me,\u201d quipped Varney, asking, \u201cYou think you can win?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course,\u201d Christie shot back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou have to believe you can win. But realistically, sir, I don\u2019t think you could win the governorship of New Jersey at the moment,\u201d Varney added, pressing the issue hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, look, I don\u2019t. Well, I think given what\u00a0Phil Murphy\u2019s\u00a0done, I think it could win the governorship of New Jersey again if I ran,\u201d\u00a0Christie\u00a0replied, adding, “But that\u2019s not what I\u2019m running for. I\u2019m running for president United States. Right now, we\u2019re in second place in New Hampshire ahead of\u00a0Ron DeSantis,\u00a0ahead of\u00a0Nikki Haley.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd that\u2019s your big hope, isn\u2019t it? Sure. Catch up in\u00a0New Hampshire\u00a0and Iowa. That\u2019s your big hope,\u201d Varney followed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes. New Hampshire is where we\u2019re staking a lot of our hopes and South Carolina. But remember, when each one of those primaries or caucuses happen, it changes the race completely where people actually vote as opposed to all the polling that we see. Polling is just hot air. Voting is when you go in and you make your voice heard. That\u2019s what we\u2019re counting on in New Hampshire in late January. And I\u2019ll come right on Varney & Company<\/em> after I win the New Hampshire primary.
