{"id":5558,"date":"2023-11-16T09:39:19","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T14:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/?p=5558"},"modified":"2023-11-16T09:40:13","modified_gmt":"2023-11-16T14:40:13","slug":"fulton-county-da-seeks-to-revoke-bond-for-trump-georgia-co-defendant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/news\/fulton-county-da-seeks-to-revoke-bond-for-trump-georgia-co-defendant\/njackson\/2023\/11\/","title":{"rendered":"Fulton County DA Seeks To Revoke Bond for Trump Georgia Co-defendant \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fulton County District Attorney\u00a0Fani Willis\u00a0(D) is seeking to revoke the bond allowing a defendant in the Georgia election interference case to stay free ahead of the trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, Willis\u2019s office cited defendant Harison Floyd\u2019s social media posts in a court filing, asserting they were in violation of the bond agreement he signed as a condition of release.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSince his release from custody, the Defendant has engaged in numerous intentional and flagrant violations of the conditions of release ordered by the Court,\u201d Willis\u2019s motion states.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/4311800-fulton-county-da-seeks-to-revoke-bond-for-trump-georgia-co-defendant\/\">The Hill,<\/a> a review of Floyd\u2019s social media shows that the Trump co-defendant made numerous posts related to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Gabe Sterling, chief operating officer of the secretary of state\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floyd, a leader of Black Voices for Trump,\u00a0was charged alongside the former president\u00a0over Floyd\u2019s alleged attempt to convince Fulton County election worker Ruby Freeman to make false statements about election operations on Election Day 2020, under the guise of offering her help. Floyd pleaded not guilty.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLook, the truth is that @GaSecofState &amp; @GabrielSterling are the pieces of [s\u2014] you should be mad at,\u201d Floyd tweeted on Nov. 7, using a poop emoji to replace the expletive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He also made several posts about Freeman, including to release of audio of the Fulton County poll worker talking to police officers, which the Georgia district attorney\u2019s office claimed constitutes \u201can act to intimidate a known witness.\u201d Floyd suggested on social media that the audio proved he did not set up a meeting with Freeman and Trump allies who prosecutors say menaced her.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBecause of and in response to the Defendant\u2019s intimidating communications, witness Ruby Freeman has been the subject of renewed threats of violence from third parties,\u201d the filing reads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee will ultimately decide whether to approve the request.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fulton County District Attorney\u00a0Fani Willis\u00a0(D) is seeking to revoke the bond allowing a defendant in the Georgia election interference case to stay free ahead of the trial.
