{"id":5886,"date":"2024-01-09T10:05:23","date_gmt":"2024-01-09T15:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/?p=5886"},"modified":"2024-01-09T10:05:24","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T15:05:24","slug":"report-fani-willis-accused-of-hiring-lover-as-key-prosecutor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/featured\/report-fani-willis-accused-of-hiring-lover-as-key-prosecutor\/admin_gand\/2024\/01\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Fani Willis Accused Of Hiring Lover As Key Prosecutor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Monday, a court motion was filed stating that Atlanta-area District Attorney\u00a0Fani Willis\u00a0(D) improperly hired the special prosecutor who assisted in securing a grand jury indictment against former President\u00a0Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The filing by\u00a0Michael Roman, a co-defendant and 2020 Trump campaign official, states that the court should disqualify Willis for the alleged affair that financially benefitted her and her lover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roman alleges that private attorney\u00a0Nathan Wade, who is married with children, paid for lavish vacations with Willis using funds his law firm received from the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As The Washington Times&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2024\/jan\/8\/fani-willis-bed-nathan-wade-key-prosecutor-trump-c\/?utm_source=pushly&amp;utm_campaign=pushnotify&amp;utm_medium=subscriber&amp;utm_id=desktop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>According to court documents reviewed by The Washington Times, Mr. Wade&#8217;s firm has been paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022 in the prosecution of Mr.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\">Trump<\/a>&nbsp;over his efforts to overturn the result of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americanliberty.news\/tag\/2020-presidential-election\/\">2020 presidential election<\/a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americanliberty.news\/tag\/georgia\/\">Georgia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Roman is a former&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\">Trump<\/a>&nbsp;campaign official and one of 19 defendants charged with election interference in the case.
