Trump is out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump walked out of the Manhattan courtroom just after a lawyer for writer\u00a0E. Jean Carroll\u00a0had begun issuing closing remarks Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan is overseeing the ongoing sexual abuse defamation trial against the former President. Carroll is suing the former President for defamation over his 2019 denials that he sexually abused her decades earlier. The former Elle columnist secured a verdict last year finding Trump liable for sexual abuse and awarding her $5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, she\u2019s seeking some $10 million in damages for Trump\u2019s denials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Hill<\/a>, it\u2019s unclear why Trump left the courtroom, though it occurred shortly after Carroll’s lawyer\u00a0Roberta Kaplan\u00a0said the former president \u201chas tried to normalize conduct that is abnormal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Trump left, Judge Lewis Kaplan directed the defense \u2014 and, by name, adviser Boris Epshteyn \u2014 to remain seated, CNN and ABC News reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe record will reflect that Mr. Trump just rose and walked out of the courtroom,\u201d said Kaplan, who is not related to Carroll\u2019s lawyer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Earlier Friday morning, Kaplan called out Trump’s attorney Alina Habba for continuing to talk when he told her she was finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
