{"id":6047,"date":"2024-01-31T10:52:40","date_gmt":"2024-01-31T15:52:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/?p=6047"},"modified":"2024-01-31T10:52:42","modified_gmt":"2024-01-31T15:52:42","slug":"report-majority-of-swing-state-voters-in-new-poll-wouldnt-vote-for-trump-if-convicted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greatamericanewsdesk.com\/news\/report-majority-of-swing-state-voters-in-new-poll-wouldnt-vote-for-trump-if-convicted\/njackson\/2024\/01\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Majority of Swing-State Voters in New Poll Wouldn\u2019t Vote for Trump if Convicted"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bad news for Donald Trump&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent poll found that a majority of swing state voters would not vote for Trump in the upcoming presidential election if he is convicted of a crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pro-assets.morningconsult.com\/wp-uploads\/2024\/01\/2401055_Bloomberg_2024-Election-Tracking-Wave-4_Crosstabs_All-States-compressed-1.pdf\">Bloomberg News\/Morning Consult survey<\/a>\u00a0found that among voters in swing states such as Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, 53 percent of respondents said they were unwilling to vote for the former president if he is convicted in one of his multiple criminal cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Forty-six percent of respondents said they are \u201cvery unwilling\u201d to cast their ballot for Trump if he is found guilty, while 7 percent said they are \u201csomewhat unwilling.\u201d Twenty-nine percent of respondents said they were \u201cvery willing\u201d to vote for Trump if he is convicted of a crime, and 11 percent said they are \u201csomewhat wiling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Black and Asian voters were also more likely to say they would not vote for Trump if he is convicted. Three-quarters of respondents who identified as atheist said they would be unwilling to vote for Trump if he is found guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People who voted for Trump in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections were less likely to say a conviction would change their mind this time around, the survey found.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The former president is facing four separate indictments and has been charged with more than 90 felony counts, in addition to a civil fraud case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bad news for Donald Trump&#8230; A recent poll found that a majority of swing state voters would not vote for Trump in the upcoming presidential election if he is convicted of a crime.
