Joe Manchin (D) revealed he will not launch a presidential campaign this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The moderate Democrat who announced he will not seek another term in the Senate has fueled speculation he may launch a third party run for the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI will not be seeking a third-party run. I will not be involved in a presidential run,\u201d Manchin said in remarks at West Virginia University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI will be involved in making sure that we secure a president that has the knowledge and has the passion and has the ability to bring this country together,\u201d he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Manchin&#8217;s announcement comes days after he floated multiple potential choices for a running mate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHypothetically, if I was picking my running mate, really who I would ask right now is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/americanliberty.news\/tag\/mitt-romney\/\">Mitt Romney<\/a>,\u201d the West Virginia Democrat said during a Q&amp;A at a City Club of Cleveland breakfast Thursday \u2014 a stop on the nationwide \u201clistening tour\u201d he launched after announcing he would\u00a0forgo a reelection bid in 2024. Romney is also\u00a0not running for reelection\u00a0this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/americanliberty.news\/tag\/rob-portman\/\">Rob Portman<\/a>&nbsp;would be right there, too,\u201d Manchin quickly added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, West Virginia Sen.
