The judge overseeing former President Trump\u2019s hush money case will begin the trial Thursday by holding a hearing to consider four more potential violations of a gag order imposed on the former President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump was already found in contempt of the gag order on Tuesday, where the judge found him in violation for nine separate online posts attacking witnesses, potential jurors in the case. Judge Merchan fined the former President nearly $10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prosecutors now say Trump violated his gag order an additional four times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here are the four statements at issue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 \u2013 Courthouse hallway statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The first statement at issue is one Trump gave to the cameras in the hallway outside the courtroom on April 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhen are they going to look at all the lies that Cohen did in the last trial?,\u201d Trump said, referring to his ex-fixer, Michael Cohen, who is expected to be prosecutors\u2019 star witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe got caught lying in the last trial. So he got caught lying, pure lying. And when are they going to look at that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 \u2013 Real America\u2019s Voice interview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After court concluded that day, Trump in the evening gave an interview to conservative channel Real America\u2019s Voice and took aim at jurors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat jury was picked so fast \u2013 95% Democrats,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThe area\u2019s mostly all Democrat. You think of it as a \u2013 just a purely Democrat area. It\u2019s a very unfair situation, that I can tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 \u2013 Local ABC station interview<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The next day, Trump conducted a roughly 12-minute interview with the local ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, when the former president went after Cohen and ex-National Enquirer Publisher David Pecker, who was testifying that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Michael Cohen is a convicted liar and he\u2019s got no credibility whatsoever,\u201d Trump said of his ex-fixer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As for the other witness, Trump said moments later, \u201cDavid Pecker, I don\u2019t know exactly what he\u2019s going to be testifying against but or about, but he\u2019ll be testifying today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 \u2013 Surprise campaign event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before coming to court last Thursday, Trump stopped at a construction site in Manhattan, turning it into a campaign stop. He again was asked about Pecker, who hadn\u2019t yet concluded his testimony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe\u2019s been very nice. I mean, he\u2019s been \u2013 David\u2019s been very nice.
