Now, the DOJ is launching a new &#8220;political operation&#8221; according to a former DOJ spokesperson under President Donald Trump, Alexei Woltornist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Woltornist says the recent letter from the American Medical Association to Merrick Garland calls for investigations on social media users spreading \u201cdisinformation\u201d about child sex changes is part of the Biden DOJ\u2019s \u201cpolitical operation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Journalist Christopher Rufo exposed the letter requesting the DOJ to \u201ctake swift action to investigate and prosecute all\u00a0organizations, individuals, and entities\u201d that have spread \u201cmisleading information targeting individual physicians and\u00a0hospitals\u201d that perform irreversible sex-change surgeries for minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: The American Medical Association is asking Big Tech and the Department of Justice to censor, deplatform, investigate, and prosecute journalists who question the orthodoxy of radical gender surgeries for minors, arguing that public criticism is &quot;disinformation.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NHv32Zzdu5\">pic.twitter.com\/NHv32Zzdu5<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Christopher F. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1577029634042253313?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 3, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/10\/07\/trump-doj-official-alarmed-political-operation-disinformation-surgeries-investigations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Daily Caller<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The letter, authored by the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children\u2019s Hospital Association, specifically states that a \u201cfew high-profile\u00a0users on social media\u201d are responsible for spreading the \u201cdisinformation\u201d about child sex-change surgeries, which have resulted in \u201cbomb threats.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cThe behavior from the AMA is straight from the Soviet playbook. The legal system should be used to protect the rule of law, not to punish political enemies,\u201d Woltornist continued.<\/p><p>When asked what the DOJ should do about the letter, Woltornist said, the \u201cDOJ should be focused on restoring their credibility,\u201d but that the perception that it\u2019s a \u201cpolitical operation\u201d can\u2019t be reversed \u201cwith simple spin or messaging.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The DOJ so far has \u201cdeclined any additional comment\u201d on if the\u00a0DOJ plans to carry out the investigations on the \u201csocial media users\u201d or anyone else mentioned in the letter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden&#8217;s Department of Justice is becoming more and more political as the months go by.
