Trump was not restricted from commenting on\u00a0the judge\u00a0or Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hill <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/4739121-trump-hush-money-gag-order-lifted\/\">reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Merchan reluctantly lifted those restrictions, saying it would be his \u201cstrong preference\u201d to extend the jurors\u2019 protection.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever, circumstances have now changed. The trial portion of these proceedings ended when the verdict was rendered, and the jury discharged,\u201d Merchan wrote in his ruling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The partial lifting of the order comes just days before the\u00a0first 2024 presidential debate\u00a0on Thursday where Trump is expected to address his conviction in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This is a breaking news story.
