Singer\u00a0Elton John\u00a0reacted during a recent interview to\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0nicknaming\u00a0Kim Jong Un\u00a0\u201clittle rocket man\u201d in reference to one of his hit songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an interview with\u00a0Variety<\/em>\u00a0at the Toronto Film Festival, the British music icon thought Trump\u2019s nickname for the\u00a0North Korean dictator\u00a0was \u201chilarious\u201d and \u201cbrilliant\u201d adding that it made him laugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2017, Trump insulted Kim following a recent blitz of high-profile weapons tests. Trump claimed that if North Korea continued to threaten the U.S. then he would rain \u201cfire and fury\u201d down on the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The former president ended his threats towards Kim by labeling him as \u201cLittle Rocket Man.\u201d John as a popular song released in 1972 called \u201cRocket Man\u201d as well as a biographical 2019 film about his life under the same name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI laughed, I thought that was brilliant,\u201d John told Variety. \u201cI just thought, \u2018Good on you, Donald.\u2019 \u2026 Donald\u2019s always been a fan of mine, and he\u2019s been to my concerts many, many times.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n John also revealed that he \u201calways been friendly toward\u201d Trump because the former president has \u201calways been a fan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The singer added, \u201cSo, I mean, I\u2019ve always been friendly toward him, and I thank him for his support. When he did that, I just thought it was hilarious. It made me laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n
