Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman (D) acknowledged on Saturday that former President Donald Trump has a unique connection with the state, which he believes only intensified after the attempted assassination in Butler earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fetterman\u2019s comments came as part of an effort to draw Vice President Kamala Harris’ attention to the dynamics in his must-win state. \u201cI trust her instincts, and she\u2019s got a great team around her. She\u2019s an amazing candidate overall,\u201d Fetterman said, before comparing Harris\u2019 candidacy to that of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. \u201cSecretary Clinton was fantastic, perhaps the most supremely accomplished candidate I can remember. The senator pointed out Trump’s enduring appeal in Pennsylvania, stating, \u201cTrump has created a special kind of hold. He has a special kind of place in Pennsylvania, and I think that only deepened after that first assassination attempt.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
