At issue is a recent interview conducted by Bill Whitaker\u00a0with Vice President\u00a0Kamala Harris, which took place at the Naval Observatory over the weekend and aired Monday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At issue is\u00a0Harris\u2019s answer regarding US foreign policy, which first surfaced Sunday on\u00a0Face the Nation,<\/em>\u00a0specifically as to\u00a0Israeli Prime Minister\u00a0Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s\u00a0not listening to the United States diplomatic outreach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Harris replied, \u201cWell Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, the response to the same question aired in 60 Minutes<\/em> was quite different: \u201cWe are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end. \u201c<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The move has caused an uproar of backlash against the network which is being accused of violating journalistic standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump insisted that he believes CBS should be punished severely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
