ANALYSIS<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 The collusion between the far-left, the Democrat Party, and Big Tech is one of the most dangerous threats to American democracy today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It threatens our 1st<\/sup> Amendment right to free speech, and our ability to get valuable and dissenting views and news online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also threatens to erase and rewrite history akin to the vile practices of totalitarian communist leaders Joe Stalin or Mao Zedong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This obscene censorship is also opposed by most Americans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a piece published<\/a> Thursday by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), suppressing so-called \u201cmisinformation\u201d and \u201cdisinformation\u201d online (code words for conservative views they don\u2019t like) about topics like climate change, or elections, could rewrite history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A very dangerous thing indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quoting the AEI authors, Media Research Center (MRC) NewsBusters writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[C]onsider now how future historians will view our societies if the collective digital record that has replaced paper diaries, letters, notes, and newspapers is purged of dissenting views,\u201d wrote<\/strong><\/a> AEI nonresident senior fellow Bronwyn Howell<\/strong><\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf records of the views of climate change skeptics were removed to make it easier to implement changes, it may never be evident to those in the future that this was in fact a highly contentious issue that divided societies and influenced the choices made by political leaders as the complex issues unfolded.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Howell specifically called out New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern<\/strong><\/a> for her speech to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in September. In the speech, Ardern justified censoring certain content around climate change and war, as well as content subjectively deemed \u201chateful and dangerous.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow do you successfully end a war if people are led to believe the reason for its existence is not only legal but noble?\u201d Ardern told<\/strong><\/a> the multilateral body. \u201cHow do you tackle climate change if people do not believe it exists? How do you ensure the human rights of others are upheld, when they are subjected to hateful and dangerous rhetoric and ideology?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anything that offends anyone can be deemed \u2018hateful and dangerous,\u2019 and aggressively suppressed, especially by the Left which\u00a0uses\u00a0these terms as weapons to pummel all views opposed to their radical agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond just rewriting history, NewsBusters notes<\/a> the threat to altering our present elections today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By censoring contrary views that they deem \u2018misinformation,\u2019 the Left – having hijacked Big Tech social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn \u2013 are rigging elections in favor of the Democrats and their far-left ideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: LinkedIn, the giant business and professional site, while generally not mentioned along with the other big ones, is one of the worst offenders.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It banned me for posting legitimate, well-sourced stories on China, Hunter Biden, the Wuhan bio lab link to COVID-19, as well as other political topics, including\u00a0anything critical, or mocking, of the radical ‘trans’ agenda.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newsbusters adds that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like the Chinese Communist Party-linked TikTok<\/strong><\/a>, American-in-name-only companies Facebook and Twitter<\/strong><\/a> are working to thwart certain posts about elections, interfering with the American democratic process and potentially altering the course of history.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Tech companies regularly scrub social media of views they deem objectionable, and MRC\u2019s CensorTrack<\/strong><\/a> database has documented over 4,500 total cases of censorship by these tech giants.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Yet, a new national poll<\/a>, conducted last week for The Federalist<\/em> by Susquehanna Polling and Research, Inc., concluded that a significant majority of Americans disapprove of this Big Tech censorship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As CNS News reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[The poll] asked U.S. voters the following question about the practice by behemoth social media platforms of censoring political content:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you approve or disapprove of Big Tech companies such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google censoring news stories and preventing users from sharing articles and information related to the upcoming election in November?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the poll’s results, two-thirds (66%) say they disapprove of Big Tech\u2019s censorship – including 55% who \u201cstrongly\u201d disapprove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About a quarter (24%) say they support Big Tech preventing users from seeing, sharing or posting political content that the social media platforms don\u2019t like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost 10% had no opinion or were undecided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it isn\u2019t just the far-left-controlled Big Tech censorship that Americans are opposed to, they also don\u2019t trust the establishment media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As CNS News reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asked if they \u201ctrust the corporate news media to tell the truth when covering news stories\u201d or think media \u201cmisrepresent the facts to push a political agenda,\u201d just 13% say they believe in the media\u2019s veracity, while three-fourths (77%) of voters think media aren\u2019t telling the truth, in favor of a political narrative.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, over\u00a0three quarters<\/em>\u00a0of all Americans don\u2019t trust the establishment media and believe it pushes a political narrative.
When the nation’s largest social media companies collude with one party, and one ideology, to suppress contrary views and news, our democracy is clearly in danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As The Washington Post\u2019s new motto posted after Donald Trump\u2019s election says: \u2018Democracy Dies in Darkness.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And indeed, Big Tech and the establishment media are ensuring it does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
