Pete Hegseth, the Fox News personality and the President-elect’s pick to lead the Department of Defense is facing a troubled path to confirmation over a number of concerning allegations about both his personal behavior and his behavior on the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hegseth is the former co-host of\u00a0Fox & Friends Weekend<\/em>\u00a0and has been the subject of negative reports\u00a0surrounding an investigation into an\u00a0alleged sexual assault. The New Yorker\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0Jane Mayer\u00a0also recently published a\u00a0damning expose<\/a>\u00a0alleging\u00a0all sorts of over-the-top claims, including reported details of drunken behavior while overseeing a Veteran\u2019s rights organization he was working for at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Monday, Fox News reporter\u00a0Chad Pergram\u00a0filed a segment focused on the rocky road to confirmation which caught Hegseth dismissing concerns from another reporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c<\/strong>It\u2019s believed that\u00a0[Pam] Bondi\u00a0is easier to confirm than Gaetz, but Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth could be a problem.
