He has argued that the U.S. taking over the Arctic island\u00a0is necessary for national security\u00a0purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greenland and Denmark have emphatically\u00a0resisted Trump\u2019s push\u00a0to acquire the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t want to be Danes,\u201d Greenland Prime Minister M\u00fate Egede previously said on Fox News. \u201cWe don\u2019t even want to be Americans.
