The brazen murder of a young Jewish couple in Washington, D.C. has stunned the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victims, Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, were fatally shot outside of the Capital Jewish Museum by a male suspect who shouted \u201cfree Palestine\u201d before opening fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Milgrim and Lischinsky \u2014 who were a couple on the verge of engagement, according to police \u2014 were gunned down after the American Jewish Committee\u2019s (AJC) annual Young Diplomats Reception. Lischinsky was preparing to return to Israel to spend the Jewish holiday of Shavuot with his family prior to being killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump administration officials were quick to denounce Wednesday evening\u2019s shooting in Washington, which left two Israeli Embassy staffers dead<\/a> outside of a museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n President Trump <\/a>condemned the killings in a post<\/a> on his Truth Social platform early Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThese horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA,\u201d he wrote. \u201cCondolences to the families of the victims.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump\u2019s comment was later echoed by several Cabinet members and Jewish organizations across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Attorney General\u00a0Pam Bondi\u00a0said she was on the scene hours after the crime took place and is praying for the family of victims.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am on the scene of the horrible shooting outside the Washington, DC Capital Jewish Museum with @USAttyPirro<\/a>. Praying for the victims of this violence as we work to learn more,\u201d Bondi wrote<\/a> on X. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,<\/a> who said he spoke with Bondi, also weighed in<\/a> on the shooting, adding that he was \u201coutraged\u201d by the deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are witness to the terrible cost of the antisemitism and wild incitement against the State of Israel,\u201d Netanyahu said\u00a0in a statement<\/a>. \u201cBlood libels against Israel have a cost in blood and must be fought to the utmost.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
