MyPillow CEO\u00a0Mike Lindell\u00a0said he considered bringing one of his pillows to federal court to rebut a claim made by a Dominion Voting Systems attorney during his deposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lindell\u00a0is set to appear in Denver federal court this week as part of a defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion. The company alleges Lindell defamed it by promoting false claims that Dominion machines helped rig the 2020 presidential election against\u00a0Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an appearance on\u00a0Steve Bannon\u2019s\u00a0War Room<\/em>\u00a0podcast over the weekend, Lindell recounted a previous exchange with Dominion\u2019s legal team in which one of its attorneys allegedly called his pillows \u201clumpy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI told my lawyers, maybe I should bring him one inside,\u201d Lindell told Bannon, who made a pitch for his listeners to buy Lindell\u2019s products to fund the legal defense.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Lindell told Bannon when he floated bringing a pillow to trial, his attorney said, \u201cMike, let\u2019s not go there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lawsuit against Lindell and MyPillow was filed<\/a> in 2021. Dominion is seeking more than $1.3 billion in damages, alleging Lindell used his platform to spread baseless election conspiracy theories, which he also used to boost MyPillow sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case is one of several filed by Dominion following the 2020 election, including a $787 million settlement reached with Fox News in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In court filings, Lindell has denied wrongdoing and argued that his statements were protected by the First Amendment. He has framed the case as a political attack and a fight for election integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO said the trial, which kicked off on Monday, is a rare instance of a defendant refusing to settle with Dominion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
