A \u201cPamela Jo Bondi\u201d is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.floridabar.org\/directories\/find-mbr\/profile\/?num=886440\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listed as a member of the<\/a>\u00a0Florida Bar \u201cin Good Standing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A few months ago, Democrats pressed Bondi\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/5087783-trump-pick-justice-department\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amid her confirmation<\/a>\u00a0hearing over her ability to push back against Trump, who had repeatedly stated he would come for his enemies and that he has the \u201cabsolute right\u201d to do what he wants with her department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bondi is also stated in the complaint to have \u201csought to compel Department of Justice lawyers to violate their ethical obligations under the guise of \u2018zealous advocacy,\u2019\u201d according to the Herald.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, Justice Department chief of staff Chad Mizelle told the Herald that \u201cthe Florida Bar has twice rejected performative attempts by these out-of-state lawyers to weaponize the bar complaint process against AG Bondi.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bondi has faced an onslaught of criticism from Democrat lawmakers and progressive groups since being confirmed as the Trump administration&#8217;s Attorney General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, the Justice Department\u00a0pointed out the leftist bias of the American Bar Association (ABA) and ordered that it will bo longer have access to non-public information, including bar records.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ABA uses a ratings process in which their Standing Committee rates each nominee \u201cWell Qualified,\u201d \u201cQualified\u201d or \u201cNot Qualified.\u201d \u201cUnanimous committee ratings appear as a single rating. In other situations, the rating from the majority or substantial majority&nbsp;(2\/3 or more of those voting) of the Committee is recorded first, followed by the rating or ratings of a minority of the Committee. The majority rating is the rating of the committee,\u201d the ABA notes on its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanbar.org\/groups\/committees\/federal_judiciary\/ratings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bondi-cuts-out-leftist-american-bar-association-no-more-access-to-non-public-info?author=Hank+Berrien&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=10&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Bondi+Cuts+Out+Leftist+American+Bar+Association%3A+No+More+Access+To+Non-Public+Info\">continues<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe ABA has a history of taking liberal positions on issues including abortion, the death penalty, same-sex marriage, affirmative action, and the Second Amendment,\u201d National Review&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/bench-memos\/yes-the-aba-is-still-a-left-wing-advocacy-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stated<\/a>&nbsp;in 2019. \u201cThe organization\u2019s ideological bias has long tainted its ratings of judicial nominees. An entire book on the subject was written as early as 1965, Joel B. Grossman\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Lawyers and Judges: The ABA and the Politics of Judicial Selection<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the 15 members on the ABA\u2019s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary in 2019, five donated to Barack Obama\u2019s campaign, three to that of Hillary Clinton, and none to the three Republican nominees between 2008-2016. Incredibly, the ABA gave a minority \u201cNot Qualified\u201d rating to iconic Judge Robert Bork and other conservative legal scholars, including Richard A. Posner, Edith H. Jones, and William H. Pryor, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor several decades, the American Bar Association has received special treatment and enjoyed special access to judicial nominees,\u201d Bondi wrote in a letter to ABA President William Bay. \u201cIn some administrations, the ABA received notice of nominees before a nomination was announced to the public.
