U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East\u00a0Steve Witkoff\u00a0accused several anonymous CNN sources of \u201ctreason\u201d on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an exclusive\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0from CNN, three sources briefed on intelligence of the operation claimed that the damage done to Iran\u2019s nuclear program \u201clikely only set it back by months\u201d despite Trump’s claims to have “completely and totally obliterated\u201d it by U.S. bombing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis leaked intel assessment, it\u2019s an early look at what was actually accomplished on the ground,\u201d said Fox News host Laura Ingraham during an interview with Witkoff. \u201cBut it was leaked. Somebody decided to leak this from the DIA and it\u2019s being used in the media, and it\u2019s all over today, that, \u2018Aha, Trump said it obliterated, but it\u2019s not obliterated. It\u2019s set back months, but it\u2019s not over.’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Witkoff replied, \u201cWell, it goes without saying that leaking that type of information, whatever the information, whatever site it comes out on, is outrageous. It\u2019s treasonous. So it ought to be investigated, and whoever did it, whoever\u2019s responsible for it should be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He concluded, \u201cIt could hurt lives in the future. This leaking is a completely unacceptable thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n CNN spoke<\/a> to seven anonymous sources in total, who described the Defense Intelligence Agency\u2019s (DIA) assessment of the Trump administration\u2019s strikes. Two of the sources \u201csaid Iran\u2019s stockpile of enriched uranium was not destroyed,\u201d according to the CNN report, while \u201cone of the people said the centrifuges are largely \u2018intact.’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnother source said that the intelligence assessed enriched uranium was moved out of the sites prior to the US strikes,\u201d CNN reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
