The tides are turning against this Trump Cabinet member…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Michael Wolff, the Trump biographer who has long studied the president, revealed on The Daily Beast Podcast this week that the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is getting increasingly close to being fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the weekend, the U.S. launched an attack on three nuclear enrichment sites in Iran. Despite Trump\u2019s declared victory,\u00a0however, early intelligence assessments\u00a0suggest that the strikes did not destroy the facilities at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always important in the Trump script, the fallback is always who to blame, who to blame,\u201d Wolff told The Daily Beast\u2019s Joanna Coles. \u201cJust have to have someone to blame. Tulsi is in the line of fire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Trump, he added, she is a \u201cstooge\u201d at this point.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Reports of the still-existent nuclear sites are at odds with Trump\u2019s repeated claims that the strikes \u201ccompletely and totally obliterated\u201d the facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told\u00a0CNN<\/a>: \u201cThis alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as \u2018top secret\u2019 but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now that the assessment is available for the public to judge for themselves, Wolff said that Trump is in search of someone to throw under the bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is an investigation that is going on,\u201c said Wolff. \u201dThey will try to find someone to blame. Within the White House, within the West Wing, what they are saying as of this morning, who this is being pinned on, is Tulsi.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

White House staff have confirmed that the leak is already being investigated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
