Fox News anchor Bret Baier suggested this week that former President Donald Trump may be the “holdup” preventing a potential Fox News debate between him and Vice President Kamala Harris. During an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Baier expressed his belief that the Harris campaign would likely agree to a debate on Fox News.
“I actually believe – this is me talking – that the Harris campaign would do a Fox debate,” Baier said, adding that Trump seems hesitant to move forward with the idea.
Others feel differently, as The Daily Caller reports:
CNN’s Chris Wallace said on Sept. 13 that there is no chance that Harris will debate Trump on Fox News.
“I would say that there is an absolutely 0%, what’s lower than 0, chance that she would agree to debate on Fox,” Wallace said. “Let me tell you a quick story. Back in 2019 when she was running, the president of Fox News and I, who was seen as being pretty even handed, went to meet with a bunch of the Democrats to try and get them to do town halls or do an interview. [Democratic Massachusetts Sen.] Elizabeth Warren met with us, [independent Vermont Sen.] Bernie Sanders met with us, the only Democrat who refused to meet with us off-the-record just to consider the possibility of going on Fox was Kamala Harris. There is a 0% chance that she will agree to an interview on Fox.”
Harris accepted an Oct. 23 debate with CNN, but Trump said it is “too late” because of how close it would be to the November election.
“As President Trump has said, only losers request a rematch. Kamala Harris lost the debate, and she knows it,” Karoline Leavitt, Trump campaign national press secretary, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Following the Sept. 10 debate on ABC News, Trump has declared there will be no further debates. Meanwhile, Harris has agreed to a CNN debate on Oct. 23. A prior Fox News debate proposal, which Trump had agreed to, never materialized.

True, Trump does not want Brett to host debate. Trump would like Hannity or Laura Ingram, Mark Levin to be the host. Trump will not be put in the same position as he was with the shameful job of Muir & Linsay who fact checked him constantly & did not fact check Harris.
Trump should be able to have a say in which station and moderators will handle a presidential debate. Seems that the Democrat candidates always get their way. It’s not fair; especially when the liberal networks don’t fact-check, appropriately, the Democrat candidate, and then
they make Trump out to be a liar when we’ve seen videos of people who live there and they have witnessed the “activity” which has been happening.

Trump doesn’t need another “debate.” He has done TWO. Biden has done ONE and Harris has done ONE
And let’s be real, these are NOT DEBATES by any means. They are questions and answers. The format would NEVER even pass High School Debate Team criteria.
BOTH have their past histories to stand on or defend. Harris is on her own now to defend the miserable State of the Union

Trump has already done two presidential debates with the democrat presidential hopeful. One with Biden and one with Harris for the same 2024 presidential campaign. Enough is enough. It’s the democrat’s problem since they changed the presential hopeful and the democrats got their two presential debates with their presential hopeful. Period. The democrats always change the rules and expect you to abide by the democrat rules, just like communists do. It’s fine with democrats as communists do to change the rules in order to win. Thank GOD our or most of our republicans follow the legal rules at least for now. Harris was not voted in as the democrat presidential hopeful by the people, she was appointed by the democrats in Congress, Pelosi and her cronies. I am wondering why no one has talked about this being illegal according to the Constitution and election laws or at least one, the Constitution or election laws.
