Is this as low as Donald Trump can go?

Former President Trump is reportedly workshopping multiple new disparaging nicknames for Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis as the race for the White House begins to heat up, despite the fact DeSantis has not even thrown his hat into the ring.

According to The Daily Wire, Bloomberg News senior reporter Jennifer Jacobs tweeted a report authored by Nancy Cook which said that Trump is spending “much of his and his team’s time” on complaining about a lack of media coverage, what he claims was a stolen election, and trying to come up with new names for DeSantis, who is widely expected to enter the presidential race in the coming months.

Jacobs said that, according to Trump’s allies, the former president is considering trying to label DeSantis as “Ron DisHonest,” “Ron DeEstablishment,” or “Tiny D.”

The report added that Trump is trying to “dig up dirt” on DeSantis’ wife, recent breast cancer survivor Casey DeSantis, who has three children with the governor.

“If you want to know who Ron DeSantis really is, when I was diagnosed with cancer, and I was facing the battle for my life, he was the dad who took care of my children when I couldn’t,” Casey DeSantis said.

“He was there to pick me off of the ground when I literally could not stand,” she added. “He was there to fight for me when I didn’t have the strength to fight for myself.”

Trump has repeatedly launched attacks against the Florida Governor, sometimes referring to the lawmaker as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”

Last month, a reporter asked if DeSantis’s proposal to make it easier for government officials to sue the media for defamation would address Trump’s “damaging” posts about him. After defending his panel proposals, DeSantis got more direct about Trump’s attack:

“I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida and fighting against Joe Biden,” DeSantis said to applause. “That’s how I spend my time. I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”

  1. Don’t do that Mr. Trump people will turn on you what you should be doing is working to get him on your ticket. I can guarantee you will lose many votes including mine!
The American people are sick of the drama in our politics!

  2. Please take President Ronald Reagan’s advice and don’t, I repeat don’t, criticize other Republicans! And for Pete’s sake, leave his wife alone!!!

  3. What a rag. And what do you think DeSantis is doing? He is aligning himself with the Bush family, and the rest of the Globalists and dark money people. Frankly, I hope Trump ratchets it up and throws the mud where it needs to go. If that is your biggest complaint about Trump, please stop acting like some snowflake cancel culture high school news paper. DeSantis is a big boy, and he can take care of himself, just as Trump can do. If DeSantis pulls through it okay, we know what he is made of.

  4. I voted for you once but your rhetoric has taken you out of my consideration for another shot. If you could simply allow your actions to define you instead of your mouth you and the country would be much better served.

  5. I fully agree with Howard! Mr. Trump should do all he can to tell America what he can do and do his best to get Ron on his ticket as VP so he can carry on in 2028!

  6. Mr Trump, I have great respect for you & your accomplishments as President, putting America First! Please do not make me regret my decision to vote for you on ‘24. Attacking Gov DeSantis and/or his wife is a tactic I would expect from the Democratic Party – Not from You! How about working on getting his support – not focusing on trying to come up w/a name for him- attempting to degrade him and his great accomplishments for the State of FL! DeSantis would be a great ally; don’t spend time, blood, sweat & tears on trying to knock him down! If you do … you will surely lose my support!
    Sincerely, Gregory B. Jones

  7. So Howard you say your voting Biden? Who is pushing these stories the same propaganda outlets that have been lying about Trump every since he road down the escalator?

  8. Who are they getting the information from as I watch the CPAC and he didn’t say a word about Governor DeSantis. I will send him a post and ask him to not do any name calling.

  9. I supported Trump in both elections but I am having a hard time supporting him this time as all we see from him is a rehash of 2020 and his nasty remarks about Ron De Santis. The childish nicknames he uses for anyone that opposes him only show inability to deal rationally with conflict. He’s always been obnoxious and that was part of his charm in the past, but now it only appears a sad attempt at bolster himself. He did great things in his 1 term but much of that is being forgotten by his inability to let go of the past and striking out at fellow republicans. I think he”s lost his edge, that one that made us all vote for him twice! I cringe when he comes on TV because i never know what he is going to say this time.
Was he treated unfairly? Yes, he was. Was he targetd by the press? Yes. Was he successful in so many ways? Yes. Should he run again? I think it would be a tough road for republicans if he did. Would i vote for a Democrat? Not on your life!
If you watch the dems, they are vile and vicious against the opponent but support their own. Republicans seem to eat their own. What we need is untiy and generalized support for fellow republicans, not the nastiness that we see.
It’s going to be a really nasty election regardless of who wins the republican nomination, and we need a united front, not snarky remarks.
I really dread the next 2 political year.

  10. I would like to know if Trump is actually saying bad things about DeSantis or is this the Democratic Party being their disgusting selves and trying to make Donald Trump look bad in the eyes of his followers. I hope it’s the latter. We can work with that. The Republican Party needs to come together and cannot afford to diss one another. We have enough trouble with the Democrats telling so many lies. So please President Trump do not get involved with the petty lies about your Party. Stick up for fellow Republicans, not target them. It’s the only way you can win and we NEED you.

  11. Looks like the Democrats are at it again like they were in 2020 with their Lies while trying to influence voters…Their Russia BS didn’t work and neither will this…If Trump has something to say he will say it loudly and before everyone…he doesn’t need the Democrats to announce something he is said to say…That is why everyone knows not to believe this BS!!!

  12. TRUMP 2024!! Ron DeSantis talks a good game but he is supported by many RINOs and other establishment hacks. Before you vote for DeSantis check out who is supporting him. You may be very surprised.

  13. I have been a total supporter of Trump ever since he first announced his run for POTUS the first time. But I’m having 2nd thoughts about my support for him now, if these vile comments about DeSantis are really coming from him. I will restate my comments from way back that: Trump needs to support DeSantis to run as his VPOTUS in 2024 so that DeSantis can get smart about international, things and then be prepared to run for POTUS in 2028. It doesn’t make any sense at all for Trump to downgrade DeSantis or his family, it’s disgusting and he (Trump) should know better!
I hope that Trump gets to read these comments from previous commentors here. If he did say these thing and continues to do it, he is going to LOSE A LOT OF VOTES.

  14. Beth Watkins: You expressed my sense as well. He was treated unfairly, but what else did he (or we) expect. But his demeanor in large part brought about the disaster we face with Joe & co. We don’t need 4 more years of Joe which we would likely get if Trump wins the nomination. He will have a better place in history if he does not run and supports someone who will pickup the positives of his legacy and lead on.

  15. Doesn’t President Trump realize that his hateful childish name calling is one of the reason’s so many people thought him unfit for the presidency. I supported him on the issues and voted for him. But I was hoping that he would mature and heal emotionally from whatever made him stoop to those tactics in the first place. To have a president who so frequently seemingly speaks with contempt is rather alarming!

  16. I agree totally with the NAVYVET! DeSantis should be praised by Trump instead of belittled. He should be Trumps running mate for V.P. and be primed to take the reins in 2028 !!!!!!!!!!!
