The political fringe found common ground over the weekend when far-right provocateur Nick Fuentes sat beside Hunter Biden and declared that he wants President Donald Trump and members of his administration impeached.

Fuentes made the startling remarks during a nearly two-hour interview with the former president’s son on “Channel 5 With Andrew Callaghan,” turning the program into an unlikely anti-Trump gripe session.

The self-described “America First” commentator told Biden that he is urging his followers to vote for Democrats in the 2026 midterm elections so the party can seize control of the House, launch investigations and bring the Trump administration to a grinding halt.

“We want the Democrats in the House because what they’re going to do is they’re going to use the oversight powers to bring all the corruption to light,” Fuentes said, according to Mediaite.

Fuentes then attempted to minimize the controversies surrounding Biden’s foreign business dealings by leveling sweeping allegations against Trump, members of his family and senior administration figures.

“Let’s say the income you made during Biden was ill-gotten for the sake of example,” Fuentes told the former first son. “It doesn’t hold a candle. It doesn’t even come close. Doesn’t even touch Jared Kushner, Howard Lutnick, Steve Witkoff, Don Jr., Trump himself.”

Fuentes offered no evidence for his claims during the exchange.

“It’s just a different sport. It’s a different game entirely,” he continued. “And I want all that corruption to be revealed. And I think the Democrats are going to do it. I hope they get impeached.”

Biden helped set up the impeachment rant by asking Fuentes whether Trump had damaged the country to the point that America was living under a “dictatorship-lite.”

Fuentes rejected that label but said he believes Democratic control of the House would allow lawmakers to bury the administration under investigations.

“I don’t think they’ll be removed from office, but I think it’ll basically drag this administration to a halt,” Fuentes said. “And then ’28, I think there’s an opportunity for a clean reset with both sides, right and left.”

The sweeping demand was constitutionally muddled. The Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and other federal civil officers—not private citizens—and Fuentes did not identify specific impeachable conduct. A House majority can approve articles of impeachment, but removal requires a two-thirds vote in the Senate, according to the Constitution Annotated.

The spectacle also carried a heavy dose of irony.

Biden was convicted of three federal gun felonies in 2024 and later pleaded guilty to three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanors. His father gave him a sweeping pardon shortly before leaving office, covering federal offenses Hunter Biden committed or may have committed over an almost 11-year period.

Former President Joe Biden claimed his son had been “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted” when he announced the pardon.

Fuentes, meanwhile, has repeatedly drawn condemnation for antisemitic, racist and misogynistic statements, including past praise for Adolf Hitler.

He briefly crossed into Trump’s orbit in November 2022 when Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, brought him to a dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Trump said afterward that he did not know Fuentes and had not been told he would be attending. The meeting sparked widespread Republican condemnation, with former Vice President Mike Pence calling on Trump to apologize.

Fuentes’s latest performance was not his first attempt to sabotage Republicans in the midterms. Following the Trump administration’s strikes against Iran earlier this year, he similarly told his audience to stay home or vote Democratic to “shut down” the administration.

Now, Fuentes appears to have found an eager partner in Biden—a pardoned former first son and a far-right extremist joining forces to demand investigations of everyone but themselves.
