A former communications aide to Vice President Kamala Harris thinks one Republican is a major threat to her vice presidency.

Ashley Etienne, who served as Harris’ communications director in 2021, told CNN on Friday that she believes Ohio Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) is an “incredible debater” and could be the “greatest threat” in the upcoming election.

“I think JD Vance would pose the greatest threat [to] Kamala Harris, in some respects. I mean he’s an incredible debater,” Etienne told CNN. “I think he has this quality that makes him seem palpable to that one to two percent that actually might vote or that is undecided, that will actually pay attention to the debates because most people don’t pay attention to the debates.”

Etienne, who also served as deputy assistant to President Biden after his 2020 victory, said Vance is “super smart,” “quick-witted” and could pose a threat to Harris on the debate stage.

“I think he’s just got a quality about him where he’s super smart and sharp and quick-witted. I just think it’s going to be a challenge to see the two of them face-to-face. I mean, maybe it’s just me, but I think he’s going to be the greatest threat,” she said.

According to Fox News, after serving as a Marine in the Iraq War, Vance moved to San Francisco to work as a venture capitalist in the tech industry.

“JD has a Rolodex of Silicon Valley contacts that very few Republican figures can get to. And he put some of those to use on behalf of [Republican U.S. Senate candidate from Ohio Bernie] Moreno,” a source in Vance’s political orbit previously told Fox News.

Vance is on Trump’s shortlist for vice president along with several other top Republican contenders. However, Fox News recently revealed that the first-term senator was one of only three from the candidate pool who had vetting documents requested from Trump’s campaign team.

Obama Begs Influencers To Back Biden

Former President Barack Obama is getting desperate…

Over the weekend, Obama called on influencers to endorse Joe Biden and help his re-election campaign.

The former president, whom Biden served under as vice president, told influencers they might not agree entirely with Biden’s policies but should support him anyway.

“Joe Biden, you may not agree with everything he does,” Obama said at a campaign fundraiser for Biden in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to Axios. “By the way, you didn’t agree with everything I did. And that’s OK. Because in a big, messy, complicated country like this, there are going to be disagreements.”

“I need you guys to use your influence, and it doesn’t have to be boring,” Obama told them.

Obama also acknowledged that audiences on social media are often not interested in partisan politics.

“We live in a cynical time,” he said, according to Axios. “Let’s face it: I think a lot of the people who watch you, listen to you, who are fans of you — a lot of times they feel turned off by the political discourse.”

“I get it,” Obama told the group, also giving insight into his media consumption. “You know, I frankly watch sports, mostly. Because it feels like everything is slash and burn.”

“But Joe Biden’s basic trajectory — what he believes in his core … nine times out of 10, he’s going to make decisions that accord with your core beliefs,” Obama said.

A New York Times/Siena College poll conducted in April found that former President Trump is cutting into Biden’s lead among young voters. Biden’s support among young voters has decreased by 14 points from his 2020 election performance to April.

CNN Announces New Rules Ahead Of Hostile Debate

Presidential debates will look different this year…

CNN has reportedly finalized the rules for the first presidential debate scheduled for June 27 in Atlanta.

CNN said there will be two commercial breaks during the debate, and candidates will not be allowed to consult with other members of their campaign during that time.

The network also noted that candidates’ podiums and positions will be determined by a coin flip, their mics will be muted outside of speaking time, and they will only be provided with a pen, a notepad and a bottle of water.

There will be no opening statements. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will each have two minutes to answer questions — followed by one-minute rebuttals and responses to the rebuttals. Red lights visible to the candidates will flash when they have five seconds left, and turn solid red when time has expired. And each man’s microphone will be muted when it is not his turn to speak.

Candidates will not be allowed to bring props or prepared notes.

Additionally, for the first time in recent history, the debate between presidential contenders won’t have a studio audience.

To qualify to participate in the televised debate a candidate must have received 15% support in four separate national polls, and be on the ballot in enough states to reach 270 electoral college votes. Candidates must also meet the requirements outlined in Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution to serve as president.

Currently, Independent candidate Kennedy is on the ballot in six states, totaling 89 potential Electoral College votes.

Pelosi Calls On Family To Stage Intervention For ‘Wacky’ Trump

Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) thinks Donald Trump needs an intervention.

During a recent interview, the 81-year-old lawmaker called on the former President’s family to immediately stage an intervention

“He knows he’s wacky,” Pelosi told MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell. “He knows he’s an imposter.”

“But I do wish there would be an intervention from his family, assuming they love him beyond the resources … that they would intervene,” she said, adding that she also hoped that the “Republican Party would have an intervention.”

On Thursday, Trump visited Capitol Hill and took part in a series of meetings with Republicans on several issues, including abortion and his legal challenges. According to several GOP senators, the former president will attempt to focus on the economy ahead of the November election.

“They have become a cult to a thug,” she said about the visit. “And that is really a tragedy.”

During her MSNBC interview, Pelosi called the former president “a master of projection.”

“Everything he says about somebody else, whether it’s a judge in the courtroom, a witness, a juror, a member of Congress, a woman, an opponent in an election — everything he says is a projection of his own shortcomings,” she said.

Pelosi previously aired her Trump intervention proposal, in February also called for an intervention due to Trump’s mental health.

McConnell Breaks Silence After ‘Positive’ Trump Meeting

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had nothing but positive things to say about his Thursday meeting with Donald Trump.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee praised the GOP Senate leader during his comments at the D.C. meeting, POLITICO reported.

“We had a really positive meeting, he and I got a chance to talk a little bit, we shook hands a few times, he got a lot of standing ovations, it was an entirely positive meeting. Mitt Romney was there, as well, and I can’t think of anything to tell you about it that was negative,” McConnell said.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) added that Trump “immediately went in to address Mitch McConnell and said he’s done his best while he was here. He understands elections. And he understands how important two seats are and we need to be focused on those.”

“There was a lot of unity. A lot of people think we’re going in the wrong direction now,” McConnell’s fellow Kentucky senator, Rand Paul said, adding that most of the discussions centered on policy.

“I haven’t seen that Republican group as strongly united on all of those policy issues in a long, long time,” said Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD).

The Thursday meeting marked the first time the two leaders met in person since 2020.

Trump and McConnell hadn’t spoken to each other since December 2020, when they had a falling out over Trump’s plan to contest President Biden’s victory in that year’s election.

In March, McConnell endorsed Trump for the presidency.

“It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States,” McConnell said in the statement after Trump secured the nomination on Super Tuesday.

Trump Drops Biggest VP Hint Yet

    3

This is Trump’s strongest indicator yet…

Donald Trump is almost ready to reveal his choice for a running mate.

Trump spoke with Fox News’ Aishah Hasnie at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Republican National Committee on Thursday following meetings on Capitol Hill. He was asked if his choice was present at any of the meetings.

“Probably. I don’t want to go, but I think (it) will probably get announced during the convention,” Trump said. “During the convention. There were some good people and, we have some very good people.”

The Republican convention will be held from July 15-18 in Milwaukee. Trump also said that Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) could be on the shortlist for VP as well.

“And I think I could consider that,” he said. “Yes. I haven’t been asked that question, but he would be on that list.”

Later in his interview, Trump said he hadn’t been asked to endorse former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, a Republican, for the U.S. Senate. Hogan endorsed Nikki Haley over Trump and did not endorse him during the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.

“Yeah, I’d like to see him win,” Trump said. “I think he has a good chance to win. I would like to see him win.”

Hillary Clinton Endorses Democrat Primary Opponent In Rare Rebuke

      A shocking betrayal…

Former failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made the rare move of endorsing the primary opponent of a sitting House Democrat.

The former secretary of state who remains a vocal influence over the Party opted to endorse George Latimer instead of Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) on Wednesday.

“With Trump on the ballot, we need strong, principled Democrats in Congress more than ever,” wrote Clinton on X, adding:

In Congress, @LatimerforNY will protect abortion rights, stand up to the NRA, and fight for President Biden’s agenda—just like he’s always done.

Make a plan to vote by June 25th!

According to Mediaite, last month CNN’s Manu Raju wrote that it is “the most competitive primary an incumbent House Democrat is facing anywhere in the country.”

Bowman, a progressive Democrat and member of the so-called “Squad,” has faced intense criticism from party colleagues over his strong criticism of Israel during its war against Hamas in Gaza following Oct. 7th.

“He’s gone far enough out that even the left-leaning Israel advocacy group J Street withdrew its endorsement of Bowman in January, complaining that he had crossed a line in putting the blame for the conflict too much on Israel and not on Hamas,” reported Raju in May, adding:

Now even many of Bowman’s fellow New York Democrats in Congress say privately they doubt he will win – but more than that, when asked by CNN, several pointedly refused to say that they want Bowman to win, or that they would support him as the race enters its final month ahead of the June 25 primary.

Bowman was also censured by the House last December after he pulled a fire alarm in an apparent effort to disrupt a vote. Bowman initially claimed he “mistakenly” pulled the alarm while rushing to vote. However, security footage late made public debunked his story. (RELATED: House Votes To Censure Democrat Rep. Report: Billionaires Are Flocking To Trump

        Big news for Trump…

New reports indicate that big names in finance are opting in to support former President Trump despite his controversies.

According to a report from Politico, a number of billionaires are willing to shake off personal concerns about Trump and embrace him for 2024. Some of the titans include Point Bridge Capital founder Hal Lambert, hedge fund executive Nelson Peltz and hotel mogul Robert Bigelow.

“Historically, some of the way Trump treats people doesn’t sit well with them when you have choices, but there’s really not many choices anymore,” Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon said Wednesday on “FOX & Friends.”

The change in attitude is largely due to Trump’s “pro-business” policies and previous standing on the world stage, Dundon said.

Dundon highlighted the Biden administration’s collective “nonsense” is contributing to growing support for Trump among the Wall Street elite in addition to everyday Americans.

“Some of the things have gotten to where it’s hard to support nonsense,” he told host Brian Kilmeade.

Republican Rep. Predicts Biden Conviction Creates ‘Opening’ For Michelle Obama

Could Hunter Biden’s latest gun conviction have some unintended consequences?

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) suggested in a Fox Business appearance that Hunter Biden’s conviction in the federal gun charges case could create “an opening” for Michelle Obama to make a future bid for the White House.

Ogles responded to the verdict on Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria” on Wednesday and emphasized the “need to pursue justice” before suggesting President Biden may drop out of the race amid his son’s guilty verdict.

“That being said, I think it also creates an opening for Democrats like Michelle Obama in here. The Biden family can say, ‘Hey, we’re going to take care of our house, we’re going to take care of our son,’ and then allow Michelle Obama to come in and run,” he said.

“Because again, Joe Biden can’t win this election, and they know that they are desperate for another candidate,” Ogles added.

In his Wednesday appearance on Fox Business, Ogles echoed former President Trump’s campaign’s statement on the recent conviction. A campaign spokesperson called Hunter Biden’s conviction was “a distraction” from serious allegations of corruption against the Biden family.

Ogles agreed that the guilty verdict was “absolutely” a distraction.

“Look, obviously we always need to pursue justice. With that being said, the Biden crime family is guilty of taking tens of million dollars from foreign countries. That should be the main topic of conversation. That’s what should be prosecuted and adjudicated in court,” he said.

Ogles is not the first lawmaker to float a potential White House run by Michelle Obama. The former First Lady’s office said earlier this year she “will not be running for president,” saying Obama “supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

Two Biden Family Members Referred For Criminal Prosecution As Impeachment Probe Heats Up

          1

Two members of Joe Biden’s family, who have been at the heart of foreign influence-peddling allegations, have been referred to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution as part of ongoing impeachment proceedings.

U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY), House Committee on the Judiciary Jim Jordan (R-OU), and House Committee on Ways and Means Jason Smith (R-MO) sent criminal referrals to the Justice Department recommending “Hunter and James Biden be charged with making false statements to Congress about key aspects of the impeachment inquiry of President Joe Biden,” the Oversight Committee announced in a statement.

“These false statements implicate Joe Biden’s knowledge of and role in his family’s influence peddling schemes and appear to be a calculated effort to shield Joe Biden from the impeachment inquiry,” the Committee notes.

“Our investigation has revealed President Biden knew about, participated in, and benefitted from his family cashing in on the Biden name around the world. Despite this record of evidence, President Biden continues to lie to the American people about his involvement in these influence peddling schemes. It appears making false statements runs in the Biden family. We’ve caught President Biden’s son and brother making blatant lies to Congress in what appears to be a concerted effort to hide Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s schemes. As part of our efforts to hold the Bidens accountable for profiting off public office, we are today referring Hunter and James Biden to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution for making false statements to Congress. This is not the end of our efforts to hold the Bidens accountable; it’s only the beginning,” said Comer.

“Lying to Congress is a serious crime with serious consequences. Both Hunter and James Biden did just that. They lied to coverup President Biden’s involvement in their family’s international influence peddling schemes that have generated millions of dollars. These criminal referrals are a reflection of criminal wrongdoing by the Biden family, and the Department of Justice must take steps to hold the Bidens accountable,” said Jordan.

“President Biden claims no one is above the law. We will soon see his Department of Justice put that principle to the test. Congress cannot allow anyone, not even the president’s son or his brother, to stand in the way of its oversight of the executive branch or deny the American people the accountability they deserve. The IRS whistleblowers have provided indisputable evidence that Hunter Biden broke the law and lied to Congress during his February deposition. Lying to Congress to impede an ongoing congressional investigation is a serious crime. If the Department of Justice fails to act on our criminal referral and hold Hunter Biden accountable, they will once again be telling the American people there are two tiers of justice in this country. One for the wealthy and politically connected, and one for everyone else,” said Smith.

          The Oversight Committee reports:

As part of the impeachment inquiry of President Biden, the Committees are investigating the President’s role in and knowledge of his family’s international influence peddling schemes that have generated over $18 million for Biden family members and their related companies, and over $27 million when including the payments to their business associates, who often were used to transfer funds to Biden family members. The Committees have also identified an additional $8 million in loans—most of which has not been repaid—Hunter and James Biden. The Committees have not identified legitimate services warranting such lucrative payments and have found that Joe Biden often interacted with his family’s business associates as they were funneling the Bidens millions of dollars and lied to the American people about these interactions.

According to the Oversight Committee, the alleged false statements made by Hunter and James Biden include:

During his deposition, Hunter Biden made false statements about holding a position at Rosemont Seneca Bohai (RSB), a corporate entity that received millions of dollars from foreign individuals and entities who met with then-Vice President Biden before and after transmitting money to the RSB account that then transferred funds to Hunter Biden. After deposing Hunter Biden, the Committees obtained documents showing Hunter Biden represented that he was the corporate secretary of RSB.

Additionally, Hunter Biden during his testimony relayed an entirely fictitious account about threatening text messages he sent to his Chinese business partner while invoking his father’s presence with him as he wrote the messages.  Hunter Biden testified he had transmitted this threat to an unrelated individual with the same surname. However, documents released by the Committee on Ways and Means demonstrate conclusively that Hunter Biden made this threat to the intended individual, and bank records prove Hunter Biden’s Chinese business partners wired millions of dollars to his company after his threat.  A portion of the proceeds has been traced to Joe Biden’s bank account.

During James Biden’s transcribed interview, he stated that Joe Biden did not meet with Tony Bobulinski, a business associate of James and Hunter Biden, in 2017 while pursuing a deal with a Chinese entity, CEFC China Energy. His statements were contradicted not only by Mr. Bobulinski, but Hunter Biden.  Mr. Bobulinski also produced text messages that establish the events leading up to and immediately following his meeting with Joe Biden on May 2, 2017.
