    Watch: Kamala Harris Asked About Pardoning Donald Trump

    MSNBC host and NBC News senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson repeatedly asked Vice President Kamala Harris if she would consider pardoning former President Donald Trump if he is found guilty — the VP’s face said as much as or more than what she was willing to say outright.

    Vice President Harris sat for a one-on-one interview with Jackson on Tuesday night’s edition of NBC Nightly News, during which Harris tried to parry the pardon question by resisting “hypotheticals” — then shot the question down a second time.

    JACKSON: If you win, it is entirely possible that the federal court cases against the former president will continue on. He is, of course, facing those felony charges. Would you consider if you win and he’s convicted, a pardon for former President Trump?

    HARRIS: I’m not going to get into those hypotheticals. I’m focused on the next 14 days.

    JACKSON: But do you believe, is there any part of you that subscribes to the argument that has been made in the past that a pardon could help bring America together, could help you unify the country and move them, move on.

    HARRIS: Let me tell you what’s going to help us move on. I get elected President of the United States.

    JACKSON: One of the things you talked about is having a Republican in your camp- in your cabinet, potentially.

    HARRIS: Yes.

    JACKSON: You spent a lot of time on the campaign trail with former Congresswoman Liz Cheney, as you referenced, is she somebody who, is she somebody who would consider putting in the cabinet? Have you talked with her about this topic?

    HARRIS: I’ll keep you posted.

    Trump Assassination Attempt 911 Calls Released

    Months after a 20-year-old gunman attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, Butler County officials have released 911 calls from that day.

    One redacted call came from the wife of a 74-year-old shooting victim from Moon Township, telling police her husband was shot at the rally, but she does not know what hospital he was transported to. James Copenhaver, a 74-year-old man from Moon Township, was shot and critically wounded at the rally.

    “Paramedics serviced him. I called Butler Hospital. He’s not there. They told me to call 911,” the woman can be heard telling a dispatcher.

    The dispatcher tells her to stay on the line and not hang up.

    “I won’t,” she says.

    Other 911 calls released by Butler County give more insight into the moment gunman Thomas Crooks fired approximately eight times, nicking Trump in the ear, killing Corey Comperatore, and injuring Copenhaver and another man named David Dutch.

    “We’re at the Butler Farm Show. We need assistance now,” says another.

    “We’re at the Trump assembly, and there’s a guy shooting,” another caller can be heard telling dispatchers.

    The calls reveal a chaotic scene after shots rang out at the rally, with attendees unaware whether the shooter was an active threat to those attending the event.

    Investigation revealed that Crooks had accessed the roof of a nearby building by climbing HVAC equipment and piping on the side of the building, which was outside the official perimeters of the rally but less than 200 yards from where Trump was speaking on stage.

    A local officer with Butler County identified where the shots were coming from, located the shooter, and fired one round at Crooks with his rifle, “which caused the shooter to recoil and briefly fall out of sight,” Adams Township Police Department Sgt. Edward Lenz testified in September.

    A Secret Service counter sniper then fired the fatal shot that neutralized Crooks on the roof of the AGR building, where he was perched with a direct line of sight to Trump.

    Chris Cuomo Slams Democrats For Not Criticizing Kamala Harris ‘Because Trump’

    Chris Cuomo called out Democrats for their apparent refusal to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris since she became the Democrat’s nominee for president.

    On Tuesday’s episode of The Chris Cuomo Project, the former CNN and current NewsNation anchor claimed her supporters now treat her like “Black female Jesus” when, according to him, many of them didn’t even like her just months prior.

    “Kamala Harris is not a godsend, alright?” Cuomo said. “You people didn’t even like her six months ago! Now, all of the sudden, she’s black female Jesus the way [Barack Obama] was Black Jesus. And let me tell you something: he had a lot more going for him than Kamala Harris does — and not just as firsts go — but his type of campaigning, his type of persuasion his charisma. He was imbued with things that she is not. And I don’t mean that as a criticism. It’s just a point of comparison. And her process fucked her also. There’s a convenience in it, but it fucked her also because there are a lot of misgivings about her. There is an underlying feeling that she didn’t get this the right way, she may not have won a primary. She didn’t even make it to the first round of primaries when she did run; and that is both fair and unfair at the same time.”

    Cuomo then claimed Democrats refuse to criticize her as she’s running against Donald Trump. He believes that’s a mistake.

    “But look, this idea of, ‘Don’t say anything bad about her because Trump,’ I don’t buy that,” he continued. “I don’t buy that, and it’s not how you get to a better place. It’s a relative assessment. She has negatives. So does he. Does he have more? Yeah. He also has a way more intense following. That’s why this race is so tight. Now explain that to me. Unless you want to write off half this country as bigots, how do you explain it being so tight? Maybe you’re not as right about everything as you think you are. Maybe you should be a little bit more to open to the people that you disagree with. Maybe they’re not all racists.”

    Trump Threatens To Sue CBS

    Former President Donald Trump’s legal team told CBS News he was considering litigation if the news outlet did not release the full transcript of its “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. 

    CBS has come under fire in recent days after it aired two different versions of Harris’ response to a question on Israel, prompting questions over whether CBS intentionally edited Harris’ response to make her look better ahead of the presidential election.

    “Such manipulative editing was aimed at causing confusion among the electorate regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s abilities, intelligence, and appeal,” Trump lawyer Edward Andrew Paltzik wrote in a letter to CBS. “News organizations such as CBS have a responsibility to accurately represent the truth of events, not distort an interview to try and make their preferred candidate appear coherent and decisive, which Harris most certainly is not. Due to CBS’ actions, the public cannot distinguish which Kamala Harris they are seeing: the candidate or the puppet of a behind-the-scenes editor.”

    “The executives and producers at CBS, and 60 Minutes in particular, are unquestionably aware that the purpose behind editing the Interview was to confuse the electorate and portray the Vice President in a better light than a full, unedited transcript would reveal. Responsible news sources must be held accountable to the highest standards,” Paltzik wrote. 

    On Truth Social, Trump said that the editing of the interview could “be the Biggest Scandal in Broadcast History!”

    “When will CBS release their Transcript of the fraudulent Interview with Comrade Kamala Harris? They changed her answer in order to make Kamala look intelligent, rather than ‘dumb as a rock,’” he posted. “CBS MUST GET THE TRANSCRIPT OUT NOW — Litigation has already started. Harris wasn’t able to put two sentences together, so they completely removed her answer, and put in another one.”

    The edited portion in question came during a discussion on Israel when host Bill Whitaker said, “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.” 

    In a promotional video posted online, Harris responded to Whitaker by saying: “The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”

    In the interview that aired, Harris responded by saying: “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

    CBS has responded to criticism of its editing by saying it just broadcasted different parts of the “same answer.”

    “60 Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to Face the Nation that used a longer section of her answer than that on 60 Minutes,” CBS said on Sunday. “Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response.”

    Fox News Host ‘Baffled’ By Kamala’s Lack Of Preparation

    Fox News host Geraldo Rivera might be regretting his endorsement.

    Days after backing the Democrat nominee the Fox News host was left stunned after her lack of preparation for her interview with anchor Bret Baier on Wednesday.

    Rivera and Sean Spicer joined NewsNation’s Dan Abrams, founder of Mediaite, on Wednesday to break down Harris’s interview and despite Rivera’s public support for Harris, he was left mostly unimpressed with her appearance.

    “I am baffled by the lack of preparation going into the highest profile interview she has,” Rivera said, calling the interview “a wash.”

    He argued that Harris’s weak point was in terms of immigration and the southern border.

    “For example, she knew, they knew, the Democrats knew that it was going to be all about immigration. Bret was going to come out smoking on immigration and he would culminate his lament over how awful the situation is with pictures of the victims. That’s the Republican playbook, it’s obvious that it was coming. How could she not be ready to answer Laken Riley and Mollie Tibbetts and so forth?” he said.

    The southern border, he added, will continue to be the weak point for Harris and her campaign.

    “From this moment on, I advise them to not be the doormat when it comes to this issue,” he said. “It’s their biggest Achilles heel.”

    Donald Trump released a statement after Kamala’s interview:

    “Kamala Harris’ interview with Bret Baier was a TRAIN WRECK. Kamala was angry, defensive, and once again abdicated any responsibility for the problems Americans are facing. She couldn’t give a straight answer to a single question because she has no answers. Kamala’s entire campaign is based on lies about President Trump. Kamala can’t handle the pressure of an interview with Fox News—she certainly can’t handle the pressure of being President of the United States.”

    Panel Reports Another Assassination Attempt ‘Likely’

    An independent panel investigating the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump released its findings this week.

    The report which was released to the public on Thursday predicted that without significant reform measures, another potshot assassination attempt like the one on former President Donald Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania earlier this year “can and will happen again.”

    According to the panel, its investigation revealed “deep flaws in the Secret Service, including some that appear to be systemic or cultural,” including: “a lack of clarity, in practice, regarding who has overall security ownership of a protectee’s site on the day of an event,” and “a troubling lack of critical thinking by Secret Service personnel,” among other issues.

    In a letter presenting their findings to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the panel wrote, “The United States Secret Service aspires to be the best protective service of high-ranking government officials in the world. This is a zero-fail mission, for any failure endangers not only the life of the protectee, but also the fundamentals of our government itself. Today, however, the Secret Service does not perform at the elite levels needed to discharge its critical mission. The Secret Service has become bureaucratic, complacent, and static even though risks have multiplied and technology has evolved.”

    “Thousands of men and women have dedicated their lives to the Secret Service, and we remain grateful to them for their bravery, selflessness, and willingness to serve in a vital role,” they continued. “But the Secret Service as an agency requires fundamental reform to carry out its mission. Without that reform, the Independent Review Panel believes another Butler can and will happen again.”

    Report: Journalist Says FBI Visited After He Published Hacked Vance Document

    Independent journalist Ken Klippenstain said that the FBI came to his home after publishing a report on Republica vice presidential nominee JD Vance using materials allegedly obtained through an Iranian hack.

    “The Bureau told me that I had been the target of a foreign influence operation with regard to a news article I had written, a clear reference to my publication of the JD Vance Dossier,” journalist Ken Klippenstein wrote on his Substack page of the visit the FBI paid to his Madison, Wis. home.

    Klippenstein did not say exactly when the FBI visited him but noted the agent he spoke with came with “no subpoena, no search warrant, no prior announcement, no claim of illegality.”

    “America’s most powerful law enforcement agency wants me to know that it was displeased. It is delivering what many would consider a chilling message: we know where you live, we know what you’ve done, we are watching,” he wrote. “This is how out of control the disinformation and foreign influence hysteria has become.”

    Klippenstein’s most recent Substack post comes just days after the journalist was briefly suspended from X, the platform formerly known as Twitter after he published a 271-page report compiled by the Trump campaign to vet Vance, the Ohio senator and Trump’s running mate.

    X said at the time that the dossier contained “unredacted private personal information” about Vance, and that Kippenstein’s post justified a suspension of his account.

    “I knew and acknowledged in the story that it had probably come from Tehran. This placed me at odds with the entirety of major media, which in an extraordinary act of self-censorship declined to publish the dossier,” Klippenstein wrote this week. “The FBI and the federal government has now successfully enlisted the mainstream news media into being some kind of adjunct national security agency. That is the major threat to our democracy. Not some foreign government’s hijinks.”

    Stepping out of her comfort zone…

    Vice President Kamala Harris will participate in a sit down interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

    It will be Harris’ first formal interview ever on Fox News. It will air on the October 16 edition of Baier’s “Special Report” at 6 p.m. ET. Baier will anchor “Special Report” from the battleground state of Pennsylvania that evening.

    “Special Report” is regularly among the most-watched programs in cable news, and the popular Common Ground segment featuring political leaders from across the aisle discussing the issues of the day with the goal of finding middle ground has been a hit this election cycle. 

    Harris’ first interview with Fox News comes as she’s ramped up her media appearances.

    Trump Calls To Revoke CBS News’ Broadcasting License

    Trump is demanding repercussions…

    On Thursday, former President Donald Trump said CBS News should lose its broadcasting license.

    At issue is a recent interview conducted by Bill Whitaker with Vice President Kamala Harris, which took place at the Naval Observatory over the weekend and aired Monday night.

    At issue is Harris’s answer regarding US foreign policy, which first surfaced Sunday on Face the Nation, specifically as to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s not listening to the United States diplomatic outreach.

    Harris replied, “Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”

    However, the response to the same question aired in 60 Minutes was quite different: “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end. “

    The move has caused an uproar of backlash against the network which is being accused of violating journalistic standards.

    Trump insisted that he believes CBS should be punished severely.

    Trump posted on social media:

    60 Minutes is a major part of the News Organization of CBS, which has just created the Greatest Fraud in Broadcast History. CBS should lose its license, and it should be bid out to the Highest Bidder, as should all other Broadcast Licenses, because they are just as corrupt as CBS — and maybe even WORSE!

    Later, he ramped things up by calling them a “THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”:

    With me, 60 Minutes does the exact opposite! They take everything I say, realize how totally BRILLIANT it is, and take it out. So, with Kamala they add, with “TRUMP,” they delete. Like the Democrat Party, THEY ARE A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!

    When reached for comment, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung told Mediaite: “60 Minutes was exposed for misleadingly editing Kamala Harris’ answers in a blatant attempt to cover up her nonsensical, word-salad answers. She had no clue how to answer some of the most basic questions, and so they had to splice and chop her answers in order to try to formulate a coherent sentence, and they even failed at that.”

    Trump Responds To Latest Debate Invite

    A quick response…

    On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump rejected Fox News’ invitation for another presidential debate.

    The network proposed a debate in Pennsylvania to be held on either Thursday, Oct. 24, or Sunday, Oct. 27. Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum would have been the moderators.

    Trump called into Fox & Friends last month and was asked about doing a second debate with Harris. The former president seemed uninterested in the idea but said if it were to happen, one of the Fox primetime hosts should moderate.

    In a statement posted to Truth Social Trump said he would not debate Harris again:

    I WON THE LAST TWO DEBATES, ONE WITH CROOKED JOE, THE OTHER WITH LYIN’ KAMALA. I ACCEPTED THE FOX-NEWS INVITATION TO DEBATE KAMALA ON SEPTEMBER 4TH, BUT SHE TURNED IT DOWN. JD VANCE EASILY WON HIS DEBATE WITH TAMPON TIM WALZ, WHO CALLED HIMSELF A KNUCKLEHEAD! I AM ALSO LEADING IN THE POLLS, WITH THE LEAD GETTING BIGGER BY THE DAY – AND LEADING IN ALL SWING STATES. THE FIRST THING A PRIZEFIGHTER DOES WHEN HE LOSES A FIGHT IS SAY THAT HE “DEMANDS A REMATCH.” IT IS VERY LATE IN THE PROCESS, VOTING HAS ALREADY BEGUN – THERE WILL BE NO REMATCH!     The network claimed in a statement addressed to the Trump and Harris campaign that the final debate would be an “opportunity for each candidate to make his or her closing arguments” before November. And they referenced a New York Times op-ed which called for Harris to debate on Fox News.

    “As made clear in The New York Times on Monday: ‘Harris Should Offer to Debate Trump Again – On Fox’ — this would present an opportunity for each candidate to make his or her closing argument,” said Fox News Media president and executive editor Jay Wallace in a statement.

    Wallace added, “We’re including proposed criteria and format, which mirror those of the CNN & ABC debates; as well as data on our broad audience reach. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to the opportunity to foster informed political dialogue at this pivotal moment for our nation.”
