O’Brien brought a renewed focus to defense and industrial base issues to the NSC. A long-time advocate of a sea power and a 355 ship Navy, O’Brien visited leading shipyards during his tenure. He also spent time at defense plants and with our troops at bases around the world.
During O’Brien’s time as National Security Advisor, the United States orchestrated the historic Abraham Accords in the Middle East, brokered economic normalization between Serbia and Kosovo, achieved significant defense spending increases among our NATO allies and increased cooperation with America’s allies across the Indo-Pacific.
Prior to serving as NSA, O’Brien was the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs with the personal rank of Ambassador. He was directly involved in the return of over 25 detainees and hostages to the United States. O’Brien previously served as Co-Chairman of the U.S. Department of State Public-Private Partnership for Justice Reform in Afghanistan under both Secretaries of State Rice and Clinton.
O’Brien was also a presidentially-appointed member of the U.S. Cultural Property Advisory Committee from 2008-2011. In 2005, O’Brien was nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as a U.S. Representative to the 60th session of the UN General Assembly. Earlier in his career, O’Brien served as a Senior Legal Officer for the UN Security Council commission that decided claims against Iraq arising out of the first Gulf War. He was a Major in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve.

ANALYSIS – General Milley’s comments were beneath him, even if Trump provoked him. As I wrote about earlier, former President Donald Trump made typically inappropriate remarks when he implied outgoing Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, due to his back-channel calls to China’s top general, deserved the ‘DEATH’ penalty for treason (all caps were in Trump’s post on Truth Social).
While no one should take Trump’s bombastic social media posts too seriously, I did say Trump was wrong to add fuel to an already flammable political environment in our country with his comments. I have also criticized Milley for his many overreactions to Trump’s words and deeds during his time in office.
In doing so, Milley made Trump out to be something he wasn’t, placed himself smack in the middle of the Democrat Party narrative of Trump, and undermined the commander-in-chief and the presidency.
In my view Milley has also been at the very least deliberately and willfully ignorant of the extreme woke policies the Pentagon has been pushing. Still, despite all my jabs at Milley, I respected his decades of service to the uniform and our country.
It’s a shame then, that Milley chose to take the low road on his way out of the DC swamp, demeaning himself and the institution, while himself politicizing the military against Trump.
As the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board wrote:
Gen. Milley retired this week after four years as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. “We are unique among the world’s militaries,” the top military officer said at a retirement ceremony on Friday, noting that service members swear an oath to the Constitution.
“We don’t take an oath to a country. We don’t take an oath to a tribe. We don’t take an oath to a religion. We don’t take an oath to a king, or a queen, or a tyrant or a dictator. And we don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator.”
Readers will catch the parting shot at Mr. Trump. The media certainly did. And who could blame Gen. Milley for loathing Mr. Trump? Casually floating the idea of harming a U.S. military officer is conduct unworthy of a wannabe Commander in Chief.
Yet it was still dispiriting to hear Gen. Milley’s remarks about a former President, in public, while wearing the uniform of the U.S. Army. Mr. Trump is the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. Like it or not, he commands political support in the country. That doubtless includes a large chunk of the enlisted ranks of the United States military services. The end-of-tour catharsis of a swipe at Mr. Trump isn’t worth polarizing the force over politics.
I agree wholeheartedly with the Journal. Milley knows better, and with his bitter and snarky jabs at Trump chose to take the low road rather than the high road on his way out.
Despite my great misgivings about the truly woke new Joint Chiefs Chairman, Air Force General C.Q. Brown, I also concur with the Journal’s parting words: “We hope that turning down the temperature of politics in the U.S. armed forces is a priority for the new chairman—perhaps behind only the military threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party.”
Message to Brown: We need an apolitical military leadership no matter the provocations from any political leader. That also means being non-ideological and non-woke.
It’s a shame Milley couldn’t see that while he was chairman, and also couldn’t just leave gracefully.

ANALYSIS – The establishment media continues to mostly ignore the constant drip of information on the Biden family’s deep China ties and corruption. But the evidence keeps coming in.
Now, an explosive claim by an Israeli source says Hunter Biden used an FBI mole named ‘One-Eye’ to tip off his Chinese business partners that they were being investigated.
The high-level Israeli had his own dealings with Hunter’s Chinese partners.
But this one FBI informant Hunter used is only part of the bigger story.
The New York Post reports:
The House Oversight Committee is investigating the explosive claims by Dr. Gal Luft, a former Israel Defense Forces lieutenant colonel with deep intelligence ties in Washington and Beijing, who says he was arrested to stop him from revealing what he knows about the Biden family and FBI corruption — details he told the Department of Justice in 2019, which he says it ignored.
And the claims sound quite plausible.
Luft is just anyone.
He is a respected intelligence expert in DC, where he runs the Institute for Analysis of Global Security, a think tank, with former CIA Director James Woolsey and former national security adviser Robert McFarlane as advisers.
The Israeli defense expert reportedly contacted the Department of Justice (DOJ) and federal investigators flew to Brussels to interview him between March 28 and 29, 2019.
This was less than four weeks before Joe Biden announced he was running for president.
Luft never heard from the DOJ again.
And now Luft has been arrested in Cypress and is being detained in Israel as he fights extradition to the United States. He is being charged with ‘gunrunning’ by the Biden Justice Department.
Luft says the charges of arms trafficking to China and Libya, and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act are trumped-up to discredit him and keep him quiet.
The Jerusalem Post quotes Luft’s attorney in Israel, Mordechai Tzivin as saying Luft’s arrest was “a good way to shut him up because he knows a lot of information on Hunter.
And some of this information will help the GOP-led House better grasp the enormity of the Biden corruption.
The Post continues:
Through his American lawyer, Robert Henoch, Luft said he tried four years ago to inform the DOJ that Chinese state-controlled energy company CEFC had paid $100,000 a month to President Biden’s son Hunter and $65,000 to Joe’s brother Jim, in exchange for their FBI connections and use of the Biden name to promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative around the world.
Luft reportedly learned about the corrupt scheme through his own relationship with Hunter’s Chinese business partners, Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, the chairman of CEFC.
According to Henoch, Ye confided to Luft that Hunter had an informant in the FBI “or formerly of the bureau, extremely well placed, who they paid lots of money to [provide] sealed law enforcement information.”
“The DOJ had this information in March 2019 and did nothing,” Henoch said.
The attorney is currently in Israel where he is fighting Luft’s extradition to the United States.
The Post adds:
The House Oversight Committee released bank statements last week, showing an additional $1,065,000 was funneled from a Chinese company affiliated with CEFC to Hunter, Jim, and Hallie Biden, Hunter’s former lover, and widow of his late brother, Beau. The payments were made in increments over three months through Biden associate Rob Walker, whose wife, Betsy, had been personal assistant to then-second lady Jill Biden.
Luft’s U.S. attorney concluded: “Congress has the Biden bank records but it doesn’t know the reason for the payments. Now it does. The information that the whistleblower Dr. Luft gave the DOJ four years ago is the missing link for the reason behind the China-Biden money transfers. Clearly, this is explosive stuff.”
Explosive stuff indeed. Now when will the establishment media begin reporting on all this?

ANALYSIS – The recent firing of Tucker Carlson from Fox News has added to the perception that the cable news network is actively watering down its conservative brand. But the shocking news of just how woke the corporation has become is only now coming to light.
“Fox News devotes hours of programming to attacking ‘woke companies,’ but ironically Fox is as woke as the rest of them,” one former Fox News employee told The Daily Signal, saying that its viewers would be “astonished to find out what the company is like.”
Specifically, this wokeness is seen in its policies toward employees.
According to the Daily Signal, the Fox News employee handbook has been imposing woke rules on its staff for at least two years, since the rules were published in 2021. Employees are reportedly allowed to use bathrooms that “align with their g*nder identity,” rather than their biological s*x.
They must also be addressed by their preferred name and preferred pronouns in the workplace.
Dressing as the opposite s*x to align with their preferred, made-up g*nder is also allowed. Fox also offers to help employees develop a “Workplace Transition Plan” to manage their gender tr*nsition at the office.
Using the far-left Human Rights Campaign, one of the most aggressive LGBTQ groups in the country, the Fox handbook defines a host of new gen*er terms such as ci*gender, g*nder expression, g*nder-fluid, g*nder identity, g*nder non-conforming, gender transition, non-bi*nary, and tr**sgender.
None of these terms existed 20 years ago, and none have any basis in biology or science, but there you go.
But it’s not just about how it regulates employee behavior…
These disturbing revelations come as Fox Digital is also now also using leftist-activist language such as “gender-aff*rming care” in news stories on its website.
The Daily Signal reported that a source still at Fox said that after Carlson’s show was canceled in April, producers for the new 8 p.m. “Fox News Tonight” program was specifically told by high-level executives not to bash Mulvaney.
I have steadfastly referred to all persons in my writings in accordance with their science-based biological s*x, not made-up preferred pronouns, and will continue to do so.
A former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” told The Daily Signal:
They want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values. But in reality, they’re pushing this [woke] nonsense behind the scenes.
This ‘nonsense’ is also infecting Fox News’ programming which is airing segments favorable to the tr*nsgender agenda.
Sadly, as far as Fox’s employee policies go, it appears they are aligned with the legal requirements in New York City, where the company is headquartered, as well as California, where many of its employees work.
New York City’s insane Human Rights Law requires employers to use the preferred name and pronouns that a person identifies with regardless of their biological sex. Companies will be breaking the law if they refuse to use a person’s prefer*ed name or p*onouns.
That law also regulates the use of single-gender bathrooms by all of the made-up g*nders, regardless of biology.
These obscene laws, and the corporate policies they require, sound like an excellent reason for Fox to move out of California and New York City. The problem is – the executives at Fox News may actually agree with them.

ANALYSIS – In case there was any doubt that the entire, fabricated ‘misinformation’ threat was a Democrat-fueled campaign to squelch conservatives, new information connects the dots.
Researchers at the Capital Research Center (CRC), a conservative watchdog group, have found the Democrat dark money links funding these dangerous efforts targeting conservatives online.
According to the CRC, Arabella Advisors, a notorious political consulting firm founded by a Clinton advisor and closely tied to the Democratic Party, is quietly bankrolling the academic research into online ‘misinformation.’
Researchers funded by the Arabella network then recommended ‘strategies’ such as censorship as ways to mitigate the spread of what they call ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation.’
This misinformation is usually any opinion or news that could harm democrats or challenge their chosen narratives.
Hayden Ludwig, a senior investigative researcher at CRC told the Daily Caller News Foundation that: “Groups like the Arabella network weaponize charitable laws and tax exemption to aid Democratic electoral victories, bypassing the IRS prohibition on electioneering.”
The Daily Caller reports:
Arabella Advisors, run by former Bill Clinton official Eric Kessler, manages certain administrative, legal and philanthropic functions of several non-profits including the Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund, North Fund and New Venture Fund, which donate to a variety of left-leaning groups, causes and Democratic candidates, according to tax filings and statements on the funds’ and Arabella’s websites. Several funds within the network are also sponsoring research into the effects of, and how best to mitigate, misinformation and disinformation, according to a DCNF review of public grants.
Many of the Arabella-funded research projects cite conservatives predominantly as purveyors of misinformation, with several projects recommending solutions to mitigate the spread of misinformation, including censorship.
One of these Arabella Advisors financed groups, The New Venture Fund recently sponsored a project at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy called “The True Costs of Misinformation.”
The Daily Caller continues by describing one egregious panel at that Harvard event:
A presentation titled “What Is Driving Conservativism’s Post-Democratic Turn in America?” by Steven Feldstein at the Carnegie Council ostensibly examined the impact of misinformation on the perceived “anti-democratic” attitudes espoused by conservatives in the U.S., according to the workshop agenda.
“How did American conservatives reach a point where their main political messages are either blatantly anti-democratic or outright falsehoods?” the presentation’s description read, alleging that “political partisanship” in the U.S. was “largely stoked by conservative propaganda and disinformation.”
According to the Daily Caller: “One panel entirely focused on strategies for “misinformation mitigation,” with presentations from researchers at the University of Washington and Google…”
And their remedies included legislative action to change election laws to curb election misinformation, as well as “psychological inoculation” against dis- and misinformation.
This Democrat bankrolled, anti-‘misinformation’ campaign is the real threat to American democracy and just the latest war on conservatives that must be fought against and won.
