Biden Weaponizing Gun Control Act Against Lawful Gun Dealers

ANALYSIS – While Joe Biden and the Democrats haven’t been able to pass the draconian gun control legislation they want, they still abuse existing laws and regulations to push their radical anti-Second Amendment agenda.

As I wrote earlier, the bipartisan gun safety measures passed by Congress, and touted by Biden, were far from being severe gun control.

In fact, they were mostly reasonable, common-sense solutions that stayed within the bounds of the Constitution.

And the left knows it and has kept pushing Biden to do more.

That’s why he keeps promising an ‘assault weapons’ ban against sporting rifles and other extreme gun control policies.

Fortunately for lawful gun owners and all citizens, these measures have little chance of passing now.

And much less with a GOP Congress coming soon.

This is why Biden and his merry band of Democrats are using a stealth approach to violating our Second Amendment rights.

Earlier this year, as I also reported, they pressured credit card processing companies such as Amex, Visa, and Mastercard to support a special gun designation, or code, set by the International Standards Organization (ISO) to specifically flag gun purchases.

Several Republican state attorney generals are pushing back on this abuse and expect a GOP Congress to follow suit.

    But it doesn’t stop there.

As reported by KTRH i-Heart, Team Biden is manipulating and abusing federal law to target law-abiding gun dealers and put them out of business:

A Texas gun store is suing the Biden administration, claiming it’s trying to shut down firearms dealers for minor violations.

Nate Curtisi is an attorney with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, which represents Central Texas Gun Works. He says the Biden administration is weaponizing the Gun Control Act by pulling gun store licenses over paperwork errors.

“There’s a shop in Florida that had less than 50 typos on 8,000 Form 4473. The Biden administration revoked their license even though there was no evidence that they meant to make these typos, or that any criminal or anyone who shouldn’t have guns had gotten them,” he says.

“Congress has at least twice failed to remove this ‘willfully’ requirement, so now the Biden administration is doing the round about way of trying to make a strict compliance regime, where that is not at all what the statute says.”

So what kind of violations are we talking about?

“Sometimes people actually put their ‘county’ of origin where they need to put their ‘country,’ and vice versa,” says Curtisi. “So they’re pulling federal firearm licenses for these really inconsequential typos that really don’t result in the wrong people getting guns.”

This is just the latest example of Biden’s efforts to push a radical agenda via executive power that he can’t get through legislative means.

The White House has 60 days to respond or seek a dismissal.

    Let’s see what happens next.

Trump Targets Former Chief Of Staff After Report Undermines 2020 Election Claims

The walls are closing in on Donald Trump…

The former President who is facing a litany of federal charges stemming from his alleged interference in the 2020 election pushed back on Tuesday’s ABC News report that former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows took an immunity deal to testify to a grand jury.

Jonathan Karl reported that Meadows spoke with special counsel Jack Smith’s team at least three times this year:

The sources said Meadows informed Smith’s team that he repeatedly told Trump in the weeks after the 2020 presidential election that the allegations of significant voting fraud coming to them were baseless, a striking break from Trump’s prolific rhetoric regarding the election.

According to the sources, Meadows also told the federal investigators Trump was being “dishonest” with the public when he first claimed to have won the election only hours after polls closed on Nov. 3, 2020, before final results were in.

“Obviously, we didn’t win,” a source quoted Meadows as telling Smith’s team in hindsight per Karl’s report, which strikes at the heart of both the federal and Fulton County case against Trump for criminally conspiring to defraud the American people that a free and fair election was “rigged.”

Trump took to Truth Social and suggested that while he didn’t think Meadows was the sort to lie to prosecutors to get “IMMUNITY.”  He then passively aggressively suggested Meadows was among  “weaklings and cowards” that make a deal and are “so bad for the future our Failing Nation.”

“I don’t think that Mark Meadows is one of them, but who really knows? ” Trump wrote:

I don’t think Mark Meadows would lie about the Rigged and Stollen 2020 Presidential Election merely for getting IMMUNITY against Prosecution (PERSECUTION!) by Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith. BUT, when you really think about it, after being hounded like a dog for three years, told you’ll be going to jail for the rest of your life, your money and your family will be forever gone, and we’re not at all interested in exposing those that did the RIGGING — If you say BAD THINGS about that terrible “MONSTER,” DONALD J. TRUMP, we won’t put you in prison, you can keep your family and your wealth, and, perhaps, if you can make up some really horrible “STUFF” a out him, we may very well erect a statue of you in the middle of our decaying and now very violent Capital, Washington, D.C. Some people would make that deal, but they are weaklings and cowards, and so bad for the future our Failing Nation. I don’t think that Mark Meadows is one of them, but who really knows? MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

      Trump then added:

Mark Meadows NEVER told me that allegations of significant fraud (about the RIGGED Election!) were baseless. He certainly didn’t say that in his book!

Politico’s Kyle Cheney also noted that in Trump’s attack, the former President may have also violated the gag order imposed in the case.

Report: Sheriff Expects Trump To Get Mugshot If Indicted In Georgia

        This is a first…

Georgia‘s Fulton County sheriff said he expects Donald Trump will get a mugshot if the former president is indicted in a 2020 election investigation in the Peach State.

“Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status, we’ll have a mugshot ready for you,” said Sheriff Pat Labat, according to local ABC affiliate WSB-TV.

It could mean Trump would get photographed during booking for the first time across multiple indictments on the state and federal levels.

After first being indicted in New York, Trump was fingerprinted when he was processed in April when he appeared for an arraignment in a hush-money case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Recently, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis signaled charges against Trump are coming by September 1. (RELATED: Georgia DA Says Trump Investigation Is Concluded ‘We’re Ready To Go’)

“The work is accomplished,” Willis told local news station 11Alive on Saturday. “We’ve been working for 2 1/2 years. We’re ready to go.”

“Some people may not be happy with the decisions that I’m making, and sometimes, when people are unhappy, they act in a way that could create harm,” Willis added.

Fox News Host Suggests Trump is Behind Leaked Audio Footage

        The plot thickens…

On Tuesday, Fox News host Steve Doocy suggested former President Trump may have been behind the leak of an audio recording showing Trump talking about his handling of classified documents.

In newly obtained audio former president Donald Trump can be heard discussing classified documents with people not cleared to have access to the highly sensitive information.

On Monday’s edition of Anderson Cooper 360, the host claimed that the audio from 2021, exposes Trump sharing US military war plans against Iran despite the former president telling Fox News host Bret Baier earlier this month that there was no such document. (RELATED: Trump Responds After New Audio Tapes Discussing Classified Docs Surface)

“You know what? If Trump thinks it’s an exoneration of him, perhaps somebody on his side actually did the leaking to CNN and Maggie Haberman,” Doocy said Tuesday morning.

“That makes sense,” co-host Brian Kilmeade chimed in.

“It does, actually,” Doocy said. “He’s admitting he’s got classified documents.”

Trump was federally indicted earlier this month in connection to his handling of classified documents. He said Monday night the audio is “actually an exoneration” and accused the Department of Justice of intentionally leaking the recording.

“The Deranged Special Prosecutor, Jack Smith, working in conjunction with the DOJ & FBI, illegally leaked and ‘spun’ a tape and transcript of me which is actually an exoneration, rather than what they would have you believe,” he said in a post on Truth Social

Debunked: ‘Twitter Files’ Expose Plot to Suppress Conservatives

          1

Conservative Twitter users have finally been vindicated.

Thursday night, former New York Times columnist Bari Weiss released the second installment of the “Twitter files,” Elon Musk’s purging of Twitter’s private failures in hopes of rebuilding trust in the platforms.

Throughout the Twitter thread, Weiss revealed how the platform previously sought to silence and suppress some conservative users and accounts by placing them on “blacklists” and flagging particular information.

Images appeared to show that several of the accounts had been flagged with “Recent Abuse Strike” and that more basic information, such as when the accounts were “Twitter Blue Verified” or “High Profile,” had also been noted.

Jay Bhattacharya, a health policy professor from Stanford University who opposed COVID-19 lockdowns, appeared to have been placed on a “Trends Blacklist,” as was the right-wing Libs of TikTok account, according to the photos.

The account of conservative commentator Dan Bongino was placed on a “Search Blacklist,” while the photos showed Turning Point USA President Charlie Kirk had his account marked as “Do Not Amplify.”

Weiss also noted that Twitter previously denied depressing particular accounts. In 2018, Twitter’s then-Head of Legal Policy and Trust, Vijaya Gadde, along with then-Head of Product, Kayvon Beykpour said, “We do not shadow ban.” They added: “And we certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology.”

Thursday evening, Musk responded to users’ concerns and said he plans to release a new feature to combat “shadowban” concerns.

“Twitter is working on a software update that will show your true account status, so you know clearly if you’ve been shadowbanned, the reason why and how to appeal,” Musk tweeted.

“Most engineers don’t feel strongly about politics, but do want to work with other great engineers,” Musk added. “Silicon Valley has world’s best engineering talent, but is co-located with San Francisco, which is far left. Thus, far left gained control of an incredibly powerful info weapon.”

Musk also responded to a question about whether “any political candidates — either in the US or elsewhere — [were] subject to shadowbanning while they were running for office or seeking re-election” by answering, “Yes.”

Former Governor Chris Christie Says Trump Is The Only Republican Biden Can Beat

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said during an interview on Sunday that Joe Biden would lose the general election to any Republican candidate other than Donald Trump.

Christie made the remarks during a roundtable discussion on ABC News’ “This Week” on how new polling has shown that the 34-count felony indictment returned by a Manhattan grand jury last week is starting to hurt Trump’s poll numbers after seeing an initial boost.

“No matter what he says and his people say, being indicted is not good for political candidate,” Christie said. “Like that’s just — you know, he can get short-term bump among certain parts of our own party. But in the end, it’s not good to be indicted.”

“Being indicted, the public does still look at that and say that’s not what should be happening to a national leader,” he said.

Christie said that Trump’s endorsements in the 2022 midterms hurt the Republican Party and predicted they will come back to haunt him in the 2024 election.

“The Donald Trump endorsements and the awful candidates, whether it was Kari Lake or Herschel Walker or Tim Michels in Wisconsin or Mastriano in Pennsylvania,” he said. “Those were the candidates that lost and they were Donald Trump’s candidates.”

“I think Donald Trump is the only Republican [Biden] can beat,” Christie later added. “I don’t think he can beat any other Republican who gets nominated.”

The Democrat primary field is already growing. Self-help guru Marianne Williamson announced her plan to challenge President Biden last month and last week Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed he plans to formally announce his campaign at an event in Boston later this month.

A number of Republicans have already announced their candidacy for the 2024 presidential nomination. Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley and tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy jumped into the race in February. Former President Donald Trump is also making this third run for the White House. Last week, former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson became the latest Republican to enter the contest.

Trump Doubles Down On Call for Liz Cheney to Be Jailed

              Is he right?

Former President Donald Trump wants ex-Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney to be thrown behind bars.

On Sunday morning, Trump wrote that Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!”

Trump also shared an article about the committee and accused them of having “withheld crucial evidence” by not making testimony public from a Secret Service driver. The driver, who has not been named, disputed the account of former White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson — who claimed that on his way back to the White House on Jan. 6, Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the limo in an effort to redirect it to the Capitol.

The Jan. 6 committee has faced intense scrutiny over its decision to withhold some testimony from the public. According to Mediaite, Committee members noted that they had a deal with the Secret Service in which they agreed to avoid disclosing “privacy information, for-official-use-only information, intelligence and law enforcement sensitive records and raw intelligence information” from 12 interviews they conducted.

Cheney didn’t waste much time before responding to Trump’s comments.

“Hi Donald: you know these are lies,” Trump said. “You have had all the grand jury & J6 transcripts for many months. You’re trying to halt your 1/6 trial because your VP, WH counsel, WH aides, campaign & DOJ officials etc will testify against you. You’re afraid of the truth and you should be.”

After that, Trump reiterated his call.

“SHE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR WHAT SHE HAS DONE TO OUR COUNTRY!” Trump wrote. “SHE ILLEGALLY DESTROYED THE EVIDENCE. UNREAL!!!”

Biden’s Lunacy – Only Those ‘Born Male’ Will Be Drafted

                0
                Photo via Pixabay images

ANALYSIS – More trans lunacy. Men can become women by just ‘identifying’ as women, says the left, and Joe Biden, except when it comes to the draft. This is according to a chart provided by the U.S. Selective Service System.

The chart, linked to a recent tweet by the Selective Service, notes almost “all male U.S. citizens and male immigrants residing in the United States who are 18 through 25 years of age” are required to register, and ‘trans’ individuals “who are born male and have changed their gender to female” are explicitly included.

                Apparently, it’s biology after all.

The stark contrast between Biden’s rhetoric and executive action on gender identity and this latest announcement and rules for a potential draft has caused anger and confusion.

                As The Blaze reports:

Despite passing an executive order mandating that military members be treated according to their gender identity and not their biological sex, the Biden administration still requires biological men who identify as women to register for the military draft, while those who are “born female and have changed their gender to male” are off the hook.

This specific ruling was linked to a recent tweet from the Selective Service reminding parents that even “if your son is an only son and the last male in your family to carry the family name, he is still required to register with SSS.”

Before diving deeper into the accompanying chart, many parents expressed anger, and some suggested their sons would ‘identify’ as female to avoid registering.

                https://twitter.com/NWTallDad_2/status/1579294594914988032

                However, Fox News reports that:

The policy pre-dates the Biden administration, but the White House expressed support for all people to be included in the draft last year.

“The administration supports section 513 and the registration requirement for all citizens, which further ensures a military selective system that is fair and just,” the White House said last year as Congress weighed adding women to a measure in the National Defense Authorization Act that would require them to register for the draft.

President Biden ultimately signed the National Defense Authorization Act last year without the provision including women.

                Fox News further explained:

Selective Service System spokesperson Micheal Migliara told Fox News Digital later Tuesday that Congress would have to make changes that would authorize women to register with the agency.

“The Military Selective Service Act authorizes the registration of ‘male persons’, ages 18-25. In order for the Selective Service to be authorized to register women, Congress would have to pass legislation amending the current law,” Migliara said. “While there is currently no draft, registration with the Selective Service System is the most publicly visible program during peacetime and ensures operational readiness in a fair and equitable manner. If authorized by the President and Congress, our Agency would rapidly provide personnel to the Department of Defense, while at the same time providing an Alternative Service Program for Conscientious Objectors.”

What is a man? What is a woman? For the Selective Service –  ‘It’s still biology, stupid.’ ALD

Liberal Comedian Admits He’s ‘Afraid’ of Trump

                  0

It’s no secret that comedian Bill Maher has a sour view of former President Trump, the two have engaged in back-and-forth spats online for years often with no kind word between them.

However, the liberal comedian recently admitted to CNN’s Jake Tapper that he is scared of Trump “on a very personal level,” especially what the first president might do to him if he’s re-elected.

“I am afraid of Trump on a very personal level because I don’t think he likes me. I understand why,” the HBO “Real Time” host told  Tapper on Tuesday as part of a CNN primetime special. “And I don’t know what he would do in a second term.”

Maher, 67, told Tapper that after Trump won the 2016 presidential election, “I was afraid for my own wellbeing. I thought I could wind up in Guantanamo Bay. I think I still could.”

“He’s obsessed sometimes. I don’t know. He went on a tear for about eight months when he was president every time, he’d have a rally. I have a list three pages long of the things he’s called me,” he said of the 45th president.

“I mean, he is obviously someone who does not know any boundaries, and, you know, you have to worry when you see what other authoritarian rulers do in other countries to people,” Maher told Tapper of Trump.

“I’m not thinking he’s going to become [Russian President Vladimir Putin] and start pushing people out windows,” Maher said, “but I’m not going to live on the 30th floor anywhere either.”

Trump has slammed Maher as a “radical left maniac.”

Earlier this month, Trump attacked CNN for adding Maher’s “Overtime” post-show segment to its Friday night programming. The cable network, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, “wants to give wacky liddle’ Bill Maher a shot at bringing them back to just normal ‘bad’ when Bill Maher suffers from the same affliction as CNN — BAD RATINGS!”

Longtime Trump Supporter Ditches Ex-President, Endorses GOP Rival

A longtime Trump supporter is cutting ties with the former President, instead choosing to endorse Nikki Haley to become the Republican nominee.

Andrew Stein, the son of the late publishing giant Jerry Finkelstein, served as the president of the New York City Council as a Democrat before crossing party lines to support Trump in the past two elections.

However, in a scathing Wall Street Journal op-ed on Friday, Stein made it absolutely clear that he was moving on from Trump and holds serious concerns about the former president’s ability to be reelected.

                    Mediaite has more:

“Mr. Trump’s poll numbers show him with a clear path to the Republican nomination and rising ahead of Joe Biden. Given his mounting legal troubles, however, today’s polling may prove irrelevant. If Mr. Trump is found guilty of some of the charges against him, voters would have to choose between an old felon and an old fool,” Stein wrote in the Journal.

While making the case that Trump is an electoral liability, Stein also argued that Haley is best positioned to win over independents.

“Ms. Haley is likely to have a broader appeal than Mr. Trump for independents and suburbanites, especially women,” Stein wrote, adding:

The Democrats hope he wins the nomination and is convicted of felonies, leading him to lose the presidential election. Republicans need to consolidate around Ms. Haley so they have a credible nominee who can take on any Democrat.
