President Biden Issues First Veto Over Influence from ‘MAGA Republicans’

On Monday, President Joe Biden vetoed a bill for the first time in his presidency on Monday, arguing the legislation was overly influenced by “MAGA Republicans.”

The Republican-led legislation prevented Biden’s administration from taking environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues into account when making investment decisions. GOP lawmakers argue ESG is a measure of a corporation’s loyalty to “woke” cultural movements and should not be taken into account.

“I just vetoed my first bill. This bill would risk your retirement savings by making it illegal to consider risk factors MAGA House Republicans don’t like. Your plan manager should be able to protect your hard-earned savings — whether Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likes it or not,” Biden announced in a Monday tweet

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R) responded to the President’s veto, accusing him of prioritizing woke corporations over workers.

According to Fox News, under the rule fiduciaries who make investment decisions for the retirement plans of more than 150 million people would be explicitly permitted under federal guidelines to consider companies’ approach to climate change and other social issues, instead of focusing on only profitability and return on investment for retirees.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) blasted Biden for the veto on Monday, saying Biden was placing “radical” social agendas over the American people.

“This Administration continues to prioritize their radical policy agenda over the economic, energy and national security needs of our country, and it is absolutely infuriating,” Manchin wrote in a statement. “West Virginians are under increasing stress as we continue to recover from a once in a generation pandemic, pay the bills amid record inflation, and face the largest land war in Europe since World War II. The Administration’s unrelenting campaign to advance a radical social and environmental agenda is only exacerbating these challenges.”

“President Biden is choosing to put his Administration’s progressive agenda above the well-being of the American people,” he added.

‘Ultra MAGA’ 25-Year-Old Karoline Leavitt Cruises to Victory in New Hampshire Primary

An “ultra MAGA” 25-year-old former Trump White House staffer made history Tuesday night. Karoline Leavitt – who celebrated her 25th birthday last month, becoming eligible to hold a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives- won her primary for New Hampshire’s First Congressional District Seat, setting up a November showdown with incumbent Democrat Congressman Chis Pappas.

Leavitt emerged victorious from a hotly contested primary after garnering 35 percent to the 25 percent won by her top opponent Matt Mowers.

She beat out a number of candidates including Mowers, a fellow Trump Admin alumnus and the 2020 GOP nominee for the NH-01 House seat. Mowers worked in the State Department as a top aide to Secretary Mike Pompeo who also endorsed him in the primary, as did the 45th President himself.

Although she worked in the Trump White House and was endorsed by a number of Trump’s closest allies – including her old boss and former White House Press Secretary Kaleigh McEnany – the former President for some reason declined to endorse her in the primary and endorsed Mowers instead. He has however celebrated her win via a statement posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Another interesting moment in the primary was the division of endorsements from Elise Stefanik – House Republican Conference Chairwoman and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Stefanik opted to endorse Leavitt, who served as her Communications Director following her stint in the White House.

House Minority Leader McCarthy sided with Mowers.

Despite the attacks she endured from the DC swamp Democrats and establishment Republicans, Leavitt won. She also garnered the support of the Freedom Caucus’ Jim Jordan of Ohio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Leavitt also campaigned with a pair of conservative members of the GOP freshman class. Byron Donalds of Florida and Lauren Boebert of Colorado joined Leavitt’s campaign on the eve of the primary to express their support for the young conservative dynamo.

Now Leavitt will set her mind to tackling the task of flipping a seat that the Cook Political Report ranks as having a partisan voter index (PVI) of EVEN and an overall rating of “toss-up.”

While reporting on the results of last night’s race, Cook Political Report’s Dave Wasserman attacked Leavitt as “unv****ed America First” and “Pro-MAGA”. Despite his criticism, he still ranks the seat as a “toss-up” – a key indicator that Democrats should be more than concerned about this Republican candidate’s rising success.

As long as Pappas continues sipping the Biden-Pelosi Kool-Aid and helping drive America off a fiscal cliff – Leavitt’s got one heck of a fighting chance.

Aside from the NH-01 race, the Granite State played host to a couple of other key races last night, including a five-way Republican primary for the Senate seat.

New Hampshire is a key swing state and enjoys an elevated political status due to it being the host of the “First In The Nation” primaries in Presidential election years.

The MAGA wave in the state wasn’t just limited to Leavitt. Pro-Trump Senate candidate Don Bolduc also won his hotly contested primary.

New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Chris Sununu — a moderate who enjoys a fair amount of popularity for a Republican governing a blue state and prevailed against three challengers in his own primary last night — stepped into the race with a last-minute endorsement of Charles (Chuck) Morse, the President of the New Hampshire Senate.

Still, that wasn’t enough to swing the race in Morse’s favor. WMUR reported earlier this month that “Don Bolduc, a retired Army general, has been leading in the polls for the Republican nomination. Morse is making the case to voters that he has the experience for the job.” That polling was done before the debate last month and Sununu’s endorsement but seems to have stood true.

Bolduc has set himself up for a matchup with vulnerable incumbent Democrat Senator Maggie Hassan.

Our friends over at Townhall are reporting RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s statement in the race:

“Extreme Democrats like Maggie Hassan and [Representative] Chris Pappas have failed Granite Staters time and again by voting in lockstep with Biden’s failed agenda of high taxes, open borders, and historic inflation. Our data-driven ground game is ready to turn out the vote, and New Hampshire is ready to re-elect Governor Sununu and finally send commonsense Republican leadership to Washington.”

‘I Love Trump’ Tucker Carlson Addresses Private Text Fiasco

Tucker Carlson is clearing the air after his private text messages revealed his hidden hatred for former President Donald Trump.

The Fox News star tried to walk back his private remarks about Trump during an appearance on WABC radio.

“And I think this is in the text, and those were all grabbed completely illegitimately, in my opinion, in this court case, which I guess I’m not allowed to talk about, but I’m enraged that my private texts were pulled,” he said.

The Fox News host said those texts were pulled at a moment when he was texting with one of his producers because “some idiot on the Trump campaign had sent us the name of these dead voters who had voted,” referring to his false reporting after the 2020 election that echoed the Trump campaign’s unfounded claims of dead people who were fraudulently counted as voting in Georgia. After Carlson’s segment aired, a local Georgia news outlet debunked his claim, finding that two of the allegedly dead voters were alive and legally registered to vote, with CNN reporting days later that a third of the supposedly dead voters was also still living.

“And we went and I repeated them on air, and it turns out some of them were alive,” Carlson said, referring to the campaign’s accusation. “So I was just — I felt humiliated.”

Earlier this month, Carlson’s along with other prominent Fox News officials’ private text messages were revealed in court documents as part of a $1.6 billion Dominion Voting Systems defamation suit against the network.

During a Jan. 4, 2021 text conversation with an unknown producer, Carlson sounded off on the former president.

The prime-time star wrote, “We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights.”

The unknown staffer reportedly speculated that they believed the madness would cool down by “mid-February.”

“I hate him passionately,” Carlson replied. “I blew up at [former Trump official] Peter Navarro today in frustration. I actually like Peter. But I can’t handle much more of this.”

Former Trump Official Jumps Ship, Joins Competitors Campaign

A top supporter of former President Trump in the crucial early-voting state of New Hampshire is joining rival Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign.

According to Fox News, longtime state Rep. Fred Doucette, who served as New Hampshire co-chair of Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, is joining the Ramaswamy campaign as a senior strategist and co-chair in New Hampshire.

The Granite State holds the first primary and second overall contest in the GOP’s presidential nominating calendar.

Doucette, the current deputy majority leader in the Republican-controlled state House of Representatives, said in a statement that Ramaswamy is a candidate that gives someone to vote for instead of someone to vote against, in a thinly-veiled jab at President Joe Biden.

“Vivek is the person who will deliver the America First agenda, without the drama,” Doucette said in a statement released on Thursday by the Ramaswamy campaign.

Doucette stressed, “I believe that President Trump’s agenda worked” and said his decision not to support the former president as he runs a third straight time for the White House was “terribly hard.”

“I came on board in March of 2015 and we were fired up. We were energized. We were engaged. We were about getting it done,” Doucette recalled. But he described the current Trump campaign as “flat.”

Doucette argued that Trump’s 2024 campaign “is not taking a page and looking forward” and said that impression “played into a lot of my decision-making.” He added that Trump supporters in the key primary and general election battleground state “were disappointed” in some of the decisions made by the Trump campaign.

“Fred gets things done. He has a proven track record of leadership, delivering results and winning,” Ramaswamy said in a statement“We’re taking America First to the next level, and I am confident Fred will be a key asset in our mission in the crucible of New Hampshire politics. We’re ready to roll and revive the American experiment, starting with the Granite state.”

Ramaswamy has hit the ground running since announcing his presidential campaign in February, traveling to New Hampshire and Iowa numerous times.

RFK Jr. Claims Trump Team Reached Out About VP Spot

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he would not accept the vice presidential spot on former President Donald Trump’s 2024 ticket, saying he’s already been approached by Trump’s team.

“I would not take that job,” Kennedy, 70, said in a recent interview with NewsNation. “I’m flattered that President Trump would offer to me, but it’s not something that I’m interested in.”

“People from the team have reached out to me,” he said.

Trump senior adviser Chris LaCivita rejected the claim that the Trump campaign approached Kennedy.

“This is 100% FAKE NEWS — NO ONE from the Trump Campaign ever approached RFK jr [or ever will] — one of the most LIBERAL and radical environmentalists in the country,” LaCivita posted to X. “For all the fake news — update your stories.”

Trump has previously hinted that he’s already made his decision on his next running mate but earlier this month told Fox News’s Bret Baier that he’s in no rush to reveal his choice.

Pro-Trump Rapper Kanye West Turns on Jared Kushner

        4

High-profile rapper and clothing designer Kanye West has found himself in the spotlight yet again.

During a highly-anticipated interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, West harshly criticized former President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner alleging he only supported and pursued peace deals between Israel and several Arab states for his own personal profit.

“When I think about all of these things that Jared somehow doesn’t get enough credit for with his work — what is it his work? In Israel, what is this, in Palestine, you know where he made his peace treaties? do you know the facts on this right here?”

“I just think it was to make money,” West said.

West then reflected on a recent dinner he attended in Miami with Kushner, his wike Ivanka Trump and his brother Josh.

“After talking to them and really sitting with Jared and sitting with Josh and finding out other pieces of information, I was like, wow, these guys might have really been holding Trump back, being very much a handler,” West said. “They love to look at me or look at Trump like we are so crazy and they are the businessmen.”

“I think that’s what they are about is making money, I don’t think they have the ability to make anything on their own,” he continued. “I think they were born into money.”

West’s criticism of Kushner’s work in the Middle East follows similar allegations levied against the former Trump admin. senior adviser by The Wall Street Journal that he was motivated by “post-employment interests.”

Since leaving office Kushner launched a private equity firm, Affinity Partners, which landed a $2 billion investment from a Saudi Arabian wealth fund. The House Oversight Committee is investigating the investment.

Republicans Pour Cold Water on Trump Ahead of 2024 Announcement

        7

As buzz continues to build around Trump’s looming 2024 announcement some Republicans are already trying to burst his bubble.

Despite the obvious excitement surrounding Trump’s long-awaited presidential campaign announcement the Republican is already facing hurdles on the path to 2024.

Trump, who is already facing various legal challenges, will be effectively cut off from the Republican National Committee if he declares his candidacy committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told The Hill.

Last year, the RNC admitted it was paying for legal fees “that relate to politically motivated legal proceedings waged against President Trump” and in recent months the committee has funded Trump’s defense against probes launched by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. (D) and New York Attorney General Letitia James (D).

“We cannot pay legal bills for any candidate that’s announced. So these are bills that came from the Letitia James lawsuit that started while he was president,” McDaniel said. “It was voted on by our executive committee for our former president, that this was a politically motivated investigation and that’s what it’s been.”

“But we cannot do in kind contributions to any candidate right now. He’s the former president being attacked from every which way with lawsuits, and he’s certainly raised more under the RNC than we’ve spent on these bills,” she added.

Advisers in Trump’s inner circle have indicated the announcement could come as soon as November 14th but some conservatives say it shouldn’t come as any shock.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said on Sunday that Trump’s upcoming announcement doesn’t surprise him, according to The Hill.

“Like, why should anybody be surprised,” Christie said, adding, “When something happens that you anticipated happening, it doesn’t make any difference.”

“He’s going to run. Everyone always knew he was going to run. He can’t miss the attention any more than he does, and he’s going to run,” the former governor added. “Now we’ll see what happens.”

However, reports began to swirl on Monday that Trump couls make his annoucenment during tonight’s rally in Ohio. Axios reporter Jonathan Swan was the first to report that Trump could move up the announcement date.

“Based calls/texts all morning, Trump/Vance rally in Ohio will be v closely watched by Rs. Speculation has reached a point of absurdity at this point but many Rs of varying degrees of closeness to Trump are anticipating accelerated announcement based on his recent private comments,” Swan tweeted.

A source close to the matter told The Washington Examiner that ultimately the decsion is up to Trump and nobody knows exactly when he will share the news.

“There’s a lot of back-and-forth right now, no one really knows if it’s going to happen tonight or if it’s going to happen in a week or so. Trump himself is the one who wants to do it ASAP. No one knows right now whether it’s happening tonight or not,” the source explained.

Report: New York Post Barred From Biden Event Ahead Of Possible Hunter Charges

The Biden administration appears to be distancing itself from any right-wing outlets as the walls are closing in on Hunter Biden.

The New York Post was reportedly denied press credentials for a White House event that took place on Monday, mere days ahead of a possible indictment for Hunter.

The event, which took place in the White House-adjacent Eisenhower Executive Office Building, reportedly addressed federal airline policies and also included remarks from Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

“We are unable to accommodate your credential request to attend the Investing in Airline Accountability Remarks on 5/8. The remarks will be live-streamed and can be viewed at WH.gov. Thank you for understanding. We will let you know if a credential becomes available,” the email read.

According to the Post’s report, of some 50 seats that had been reserved for reporters, nearly half remained empty throughout the president’s remarks. However, the outlet also noted that the email declining their request for credentials did not state that limited space was the reason for the rejection.

The decision to reject press credentials for The Post, which first published articles regarding Hunter’s laptop, comes two weeks after a meeting between Justice Department (DOJ) officials and Hunter’s legal team. The meeting triggered speculation that the DOJ is nearing its decision over whether to indict the President’s son. (RELATED: Is Hunter Biden Hiding In The White House To Avoid Arrest?)

Over the weekend, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) urged the DOJ to withhold charging Hunter until after a mid-week press conference.

“My message to the Department of Justice is very loud and clear: Do not indict Hunter Biden before Wednesday,” he told “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo over the weekend.

Hunter Biden may face prosecution over federal tax charges as well as questions over the alleged illegal disposal of a handgun in Delaware.
