A progressive veterans organization is pushing to ban the airing of Fox News on U.S. military bases.

According to The Hill, a new ad by the group VoteVets hones in on recent revelations made as part of a legal fight the network faces over its coverage of the 2020 election.

A narrator for the ad says Fox engaged in “information warfare that divides the troops, hurts unit cohesion, weakens our readiness, and threatens our national security.”

“There’s no excuse for allowing anti-American, anti-democracy anti-military disinformation in the barracks, in the chow hall or anywhere our troops serve,” the ad says.

    Watch the ad here below:

Fox News is currently embroiled in a 1.6 billion defamation suit against Dominion Voting Systems. The company has argued Fox intentionally aired false claims about the company regarding the 2020 election.

Fox has so far unsuccessfully moved to have the case dismissed on First Amendment grounds.

Fox released the following statement on the ongoing legal matter:

“Dominion’s lawsuit has always been more about what will generate headlines than what can withstand legal and factual scrutiny, as illustrated by them now being forced to slash their fanciful damages demand by more than half a billion dollars after their own expert debunked its implausible claims,” the network said in its most recent statement about the case.

“Their summary judgment motion took an extreme, unsupported view of defamation law that would prevent journalists from basic reporting and their efforts to publicly smear Fox for covering and commenting on allegations by a sitting President of the United States should be recognized for what it is: a blatant violation of the First Amendment.”

Recent court documents from the ongoing dispute revealed some network executives and prime-time lineup privately doubted former President Donald Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud after losing reelection. However, some of them expressed fear that any fact-checkers might alienate their audience.

American Liberty News previously reported that at one point, Laura Ingraham’s producer messaged network management, saying her “BS” about the election would wind up giving him “a f*cking aneurysm.”

Around the same time, Tucker Carlson wanted Fox News’ prime-time hosts to pressure network execs to fire reporter Jacqui Heinrich for fact-checking Trump.

“Please get her fired,” Carlson messaged Sean Hannity. “Seriously… What the f*ck?”

Treasury Department To Hand Over Suspicious Activity Reports Related To Hunter Biden Probe To GOP-Led Committee

The Department of Treasury has finally agreed to hand over suspicious activity reports (SARs) related to Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals to the House Oversight Committee.

Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) initially requested information about the Biden family and their associates’ business transactions flagged by U.S. banks in January.

Under federal law, when banks suspect suspicious overseas activity by an account holder, it submits a “suspicious activity report” or “SAR” to the Treasury Department.

However, the Department’s delay in responding to the requests triggered an investigation into the matter and prompted Comer to hold a March 10 hearing to examine the Treasury Department’s sudden refusal.(RELATED: Why Did Treasury Cover Up Suspicious Activity By Biden Family? Congress Is Now Investigating)

“Biden’s Treasury Department continues to make excuses for its failure to provide the suspicious activity reports that are critical to our investigation of the Biden family’s business schemes,” said Comer in a statement last week.

On Tuesday, the Kentucky Congressman announced the sudden change according to Fox News.

“After two months of dragging their feet, the Treasury Department is finally providing us with access to the suspicious activity reports for the Biden family and their associates’ business transactions,” Comer said. “It should never have taken us threatening to hold a hearing and conduct a transcribed interview with an official under the penalty of perjury for Treasury to finally accommodate part of our request.”

Hunter Biden is faced federal investigations into his finances since 2018.

Earlier this month, Comer called on Treasury Department official Jonathan Davidson, who serves as assistant secretary for legislative affairs, to appear for a transcribed interview “to explain why “the agency had not provided the requested information.”

However, Davidson’s interview has now been postponed because the Department has fulfilled the request.

Earlier this month, Davidson responded to Comer’s letter explaining the Treasury Department’s process to ensure that the “law enforcement sensitive material is identified and handled appropriately,” but said the process was “well underway” to respond to the committee’s request.

“The Department has been working to complete all necessary review, including consultation with law enforcement agencies,” Davidson wrote in the March 3 letter to Comer. “These processes ensure that sensitive material extraneous to the Committee’s inquiry is not inadvertently disclosed and that law enforcement sensitive material is identified and handled appropriately.”

Davidson explained that “review of law enforcement sensitive materials is a standard aspect of the process of providing Congress with access to BSA-protected information.”

“All of these processes—which are designed to ensure proper protection of potential or ongoing investigations and other law enforcement interests—are already well underway for your request, but they take time,” Davidson wrote. “The Department is working to complete these processes as soon as possible and consistent with the timeframes for processing similar requests in the past, including requests received from committee chairs in the prior Congress that took months to complete.”

Stacey Abrams Lands New Job After Election Loss

Is Stacey Abrams looking for the exit ramp after suffering another brutal defeat?

The two-time failed Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate announced she will be joining environmental advocacy dark money group, Rewiring America which is pushing to regulate and ban natural gas-powered stoves.

Announcing her new role with Rewiring America, the group attributed her success to being a “political leader, voting rights activist, and bestselling author.”

According to Fox News, through her role, Abrams will “launch and scale a national awareness campaign and a network of large and small communities working to help Americans go electric,” according to the group.

“She will also guide the organization as it builds the tools and capacity to connect Americans and their communities to machines, installers, Inflation Reduction Act incentives, and jobs in the clean energy transition,” the group added of Abrams.

“Growing up on the Gulf Coast, not far from a significant concentration of the petrochemical industry, I’ve seen the environmental and health injustices that visit communities isolated from political power and economic opportunity,” Abrams said in a statement. “We are at an inflection point, where families in the South and across the country live too close to the economic edge, and every dollar saved now changes their future. But few understand how much money they can save with a little help to upgrade their homes and vehicles.”

“I’m excited to join Rewiring America to share the benefits of electrification and ensure families get their fair share,” she added. “I look forward to working together as we build the tools that will transform everyday Americans from energy consumers to energy moguls in their own communities.”

Kari Lake Wants Maricopa County Officials Imprisoned

Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is calling for extreme measures to be taken against Maricopa County election officials.

According to The Hill, the former TV news anchor said Maricopa officials should be “locked up” as she discussed her plans to challenge Gov.-elect Katie Hobbs’ election victory in court.

“These people are crooks, they need to be locked up,” Lake said of Maricopa County election officials, after listing off a series of largely disproven claims about election fraud.

Maricopa County, Arizona’s most populous jurisdiction that includes Phoenix, has become an epicenter for allegations of voter disenfranchisement after some Election Day vote centers experienced printer malfunctions.

But Lake and others in the GOP have claimed the issues effectively amounted to voter disenfranchisement, noting that Election Day ballots in the state favor Republicans.

However, Lake said she wasn’t sure how the judge would rule on the dismissal motion, asking the crowd to pray for him.

“We’ve seen judges dismiss cases, I don’t want you to get discouraged,” Lake told the crowd. “It could happen. We’re going to kick this right up to the Supreme Court, and I will not stop fighting.”

Among other allegations, Lake on Sunday claimed 300,000 ballots in Maricopa County were tabulated without proper chain of custody paperwork, as she has alleged in court, calling county election officials “magicians” who made ballots randomly appear.

Star Witness Michael Cohen Admits He Wanted Top Role In Trump Admin.

On Thursday, former Donald Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen admitted he would have liked to have been considered to fill the role of chief of staff during the Trump Administration.

Cohen, who testified Thursday that he was offered a role in the White House, said he didn’t want to go to the White House and rather wanted to serve as Trump’s personal attorney.

When asked if he wanted to work in the White House, Cohen responded, “No sir.”

Trump’s lawyer Todd Blanche asked Cohen if the truth is that he really wanted to work in the White House. Cohen responded, “No sir.”

Blanche then asked Cohen if he had hoped to be named the White House chief of staff, to which he denied.

Blanche then outlined several conversations Cohen had with other individuals, including his daughter, about the possibility of serving as chief of staff under Trump.

Cohen, who testified that he spoke with Trump about serving as his personal attorney, said he wanted a hybrid position, one with access to Trump but not considered a White House employee.

DHS Hires Law Firm for Assistance in Potential Mayorkas Impeachment

The Biden administration is on the brink of impeachment proceedings.

On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed it has hired a law firm to aid in responding to the potential GOP House-led impeachment of Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

According to reports from The Hill, the contract, signed with New-York based firm Debevoise & Plimpton, comes a week after a second article of impeachment was filed by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.).

“The Department of Homeland Security has retained outside counsel to help ensure the Department’s vital mission is not interrupted by the unprecedented, unjustified, and partisan impeachment efforts by some Members of Congress, who have already taken steps to initiate proceedings,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement.

“DHS will continue prioritizing its work to protect our country from terrorism, respond to natural disasters, and secure our borders while responding appropriately to the over 70 Congressional committees and subcommittees that have oversight of DHS.”

DHS doesn’t have any staff on hand with expertise in such a matter, an agency official told The Hill, and said the scale of legal assistance needed will depend on how the GOP decides to proceed with its probe. Still, the department declined to outline other financial details of the retainer.

Republicans have yet to take any action on the resolutions, but House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and other Republican leaders have pledged what could be lengthy investigations ahead of an eventual impeachment.

The impeachment of Cabinet officials is rare and hasn’t occurred since 1876.

Trump in Hot Water Again After Posing with Infamous Philly Mob Boss

                  7

Trump is facing criticism after a photo emerged of him with the infamous Philadelphia mon boss, Joseph “Skinny Joey” Merlino.

Trump posed for the photo obtained by The Philadelphia Inquirer with Merlino earlier this month at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach. The two, along with an unidentified third man, flash Trump’s customary “thumbs-up” hand signs and smiles while wearing golfing attire.

“President Trump takes countless photos with people. That does not mean he knows every single person he comes in contact with,” said a Trump spokesperson after The Inquirer shared a copy of the photo with his campaign.

Merlino was convicted in 2001 in a racketeering case and served a decade in federal prison and is known for connections to mob with operations in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. After his release, he relocated to Boca Raton, Florida before being arrested again in 2018 on a gambling-related charge.

Trump has recently come under fire for his contact with controversial public figures like Kanye West and Nick Fuentes.

Last year Trump hosted a dinner while the rapper also known as Ye was in the middle of his anti-Semitic, pro-Nazi meltdown. West was also accompanied by Nick Fuentes, one of the most infamous white nationalists and Holocaust deniers in the country. Trump has asserted that he was unaware Fuentes would be attending the dinner.

Meadows Ally Plans to Plead Guilty

A Republican who ran to replace former Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) after he joined the Trump White House will plead guilty to accepting an illegal campaign contribution.

Federal prosecutors have charged Lynda Bennett for knowingly accepting a $25,000 campaign contribution from a relative that was made in someone else’s name.

Monday’s court filing indicated Bennett’s plan to plead guilty. Details surrounding the illegal contribution have largely been kept secret.

“This case involves a technical violation of campaign-finance regulations, based on a loan from a family member. Lynda looks forward to putting it behind her,” Bennett’s attorney, Kearns Davis, told Fox News Digital by email Monday.

Sentencing guidelines for violations of 52 USC 30122 list maximum penalties of five years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $50,000.

Bennett, an outspoken GOP activist ultimately lost her 2020 Congressional campaign to controversial firebrand Madison Cawthorn by about 32 percentage points, or 15,000 votes.

Federal campaign finance laws prohibited individual contributions that exceeded $2,800 for the 2020 primary cycle or $2,800 for that year’s general election cycle.

According to The Hill, Meadows’s wife, Debbie was close with Bennett and reportedly encouraged the former president to endorse her in the primary.
