Will Lackluster Midterm Results Deter Trump 2024 Announcement?

Tuesday’s midterms produced lackluster results as ballots continue to be tallied across the country. While the red tsunami appeared to be more of a wave Republicans and Democrats are still waiting to know which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate on Wednesday morning.

The midterm results have spurred questions about Trump’s potential plan to announce his third presidential campaign next week. The former president has been heavily involved throughout the midterms but some are left wondering if Trump will push his announcement.

During an interview with Markie Martin on NewsNation ahead of the midterms Trump noted he’s made over 300 endorsements.

“You’ve endorsed more than 330 candidates this election cycle,” Martin said. “Tonight, win or lose, the results for Republicans, how much of that will be because of Donald Trump?”

“Well, I think if they win, I should get all the credit. And if they lose, I should not be blamed at all, okay?” Trump said. “But it’ll probably be just the opposite. When they win, I think they’re going to do very well, I’ll probably be given very little credit even though in many cases I told people to run and they ran and they turned out to be very good candidates. You know, they’ve turned out to be very good candidates.”

“But usually what would happen is when they do well, I won’t be given any credit and if they do badly, they will blame everything on me,” he continued. “So I’m prepared for anything, but we’ll defend ourselves.”

Advisers close to Trump say the former president is certainly running but he’s yet to make any formal announcement as doing so will link him to specific election laws.

During a Monday evening rally in Ohio, former President Trump declared he plans to make a “big announcement” next Tuesday.

“I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.,” Trump said toward the end of a rally near Dayton, Ohio, where he was campaigning for a host of candidates in the state, including Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

“We want nothing to distract from the importance of tomorrow,” Trump said.

Vance won his race against Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan Tuesday night.

“I can’t thank President Trump enough for his support,” Vance said. “His endorsement and the work he did to drive turnout – including a huge rally in Dayton on election eve – made all the difference in this race, and led us to the largest battleground victory in the nation.”

‘Equity’ is the Opposite of Equality – It’s Evil Code for Socialism

    9

ANALYSIS – The term ‘equity’ has seeped into every aspect of U.S. domestic, and even foreign, policy. We hear the term everywhere.

Most recently VP Kamala Harris used it to describe how hurricane relief funds should be distributed in Florida based in part on skin color, and ‘communities of color’ should receive priority.

This outrageous claim from Harris provoked a backlash from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, many conservatives, and others.

On his first day as president, Joe Biden also issued an “Executive Order on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities.”

This made promoting ‘equity’ a centerpiece of his administration – a highly damaging proposition.

But to many Americans it’s a totally innocuous term, which sounds a lot like equal or equality.

And aren’t Americans supposed to be ‘equal under the law?’

So, what is the big fuss?

Well, the fact is the term ‘equity’ is just the latest effort in a long line of leftist code words intended to mask their true intent.

Equity is not only not similar to equality; it is the polar opposite. It is an evil code word for socialism.

It means ignoring individuals and favoring some groups over others.

The ultimate goal of ‘equity’ is not to ensure equal opportunities, it is to achieve equal outcomes.

That is just a new brand name for the oldest program of social and economic leveling ever invented – socialism.

Harris admitted as much in a tweet and video, posted before the election and viewed well over 6 million times: “There’s a big difference between equality and equity.”

But the left tends to not highlight the true impact of this huge difference.

Instead, they argue that some people simply need a hand to help them reach the same level playing field.

However, promoting “equity” means ending America’s traditional guiding ideal of “equal treatment under law.”

It enshrines reverse discrimination as policy.

It is a mandate to discriminate based on skin color, economic standing, or other standards such as gender identification.

And it is undermining America’s bedrock principle that people should be treated equally and judged as individuals, not as members of groups.

As Charles Lipson wrote in “Equity” is Socialism by Another Name” in the Wall Street Journal last year:

Those who push for equity have hidden these crucial differences for a reason. They aren’t merely unpopular; they challenge America’s bedrock principle that people should be treated equally and judged as individuals, not as members of groups.

     He adds:

Hidden, too, are the extensive measures that would be needed to achieve equal outcomes. Only a powerful central government could impose the intensive—and expensive—programs of social intervention, ideological re-education and economic redistribution. Only an intrusive bureaucracy could specify the rules for every business, public institution and civic organization. Those unhappy implications are why advocates of equity are so determined to hide what the term really means.

Lipson, a professor emeritus of political science at the University of Chicago, who founded the Program on International Politics, Economics, and Security, continues:

One measure of how unpopular these unequal programs are is how often their proponents need to rename them. “Quotas” were restyled as “affirmative action.” The goal was still to give special benefits to some groups to achieve desired outcomes. Now “affirmative action” has also become toxic, rejected most recently by voters in deep-blue California. Hence, the new name, “equity.”

Instead of making their case openly and honestly, advocates of equity twist and turn to avoid revealing their radical goal of re-engineering society through coercion.

This is the ultimate goal of the left – using the term ‘equity’ to mask a coercive socialist agenda intended to ‘fundamentally transform’ American society – to quote Barack Obama in 2008.

Americans must challenge the concept and the term at every turn. We believe in equality not ‘equity.’ And we must fight to defend it.

    Report: Trump Indictment Unsealed!

The charges against former President Donald Trump have been revealed after he was arraigned on Tuesday.

The indictment against the former president, People of the State of New York against Donald J. Trump, Indictment No. 71543-23, has been unsealed. Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.

    Read the indictment below:

    https://twitter.com/EricTrump/status/1643323850057306112

The charges come one day after Trump arrived in New York for the criminal proceedings.

Last Thursday, the New York grand jury voted to indict former President Donald Trump for his alleged role in a hush money bribe to adult film star Stormy Daniels amid the 2016 presidential election in DA Alvin Bragg’s yearslong investigation into the real estate mogul.

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York opted out of charging Trump related to the Daniels payment in 2019. The Federal Election Commission also tossed its investigation into the matter in 2021.

On Tuesday, the former President surrendered to the Manhattan Criminal Court for his arraignment

“Heading to Lower Manhattan, the Courthouse,” he said on Truth Social as he made his way from Trump Tower to the courtroom.

“Seems so SURREAL — WOW, they are going to ARREST ME,” he said. “Can’t believe this is happening in America. MAGA!”

Trump was processed and then escorted to Justice Juan Merchan’s courtroom for the arraignment proceedings. Trump was not handcuffed, as some are during an arraignment, and did not have a mugshot taken. Detectives handled the arrest of the former president. However, the arraignment has been surrounded by a media firestorm after Trump became the first president to be indicted.

At least two helicopters hovered over the courthouse and the adjacent public park as protestors gathered. Dueling chants of “USA!” and “lock him up!” were fired back and forth between crowds of pro-Trump and anti-Trump demonstrators assembled in the public square across the street from the courtroom.

Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges and has called on District Attorney Alvin Bragg to be indicted himself over his handling of the case, claiming the DA “illegally leaked” details of Trump’s case.

“Wow! District Attorney Bragg just illegally LEAKED the various points, and complete information, on the pathetic Indictment against me,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday. “I know the reporter and so, unfortunately, does he. This means that he MUST BE IMMEDIATELY INDICTED. Now, if he wants to really clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, INDICT HIMSELF.”

Numerous conservatives have publicly tweeted their support of Trump.

    Watch: Hecklers Derail Pelosi Event

Things quickly went off the rails at an event featuring former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The heckler interrupted Pelosi, who was speaking alongside economist Paul Krugman at The City University of New York’s Graduate Center — and accused her of having “a very bad obsession” with getting the United States into war.

“You know Pelosi, that’s a very good place for you, in the depths of hell,” the heckler began, and continued to shout over the booing crowd as security quickly surrounded him to remove him from the venue.

“For some reason, you have a very bad obsession of getting us into war. Hey, why is it that you did not admit that there were no WMDs in Iraq? You lied us into a war in Iraq. You got us to invade Afghanistan. Now over 90% of those people are impoverished and are dying,” he shouted. “Why don’t you tell the truth about Nordstream? You’re leaving millions of Germans without energy! You have a knack for getting us into war! People like you should be arrested. You are a war criminal!”

Pelosi said nothing, sitting calmly on the stage and waiting for the chaos to die down — but another heckler quickly picked up where the first had left off.

“Hey, Congresswoman! I came to see a warmonger, but you’re a sad old drunk. What happened?” the second protester asked. “When you went to Taiwan, were you looking for Ukraine? Did we blow up the Nordstream on accident or on purpose? Did you know about that?”

He continued to shout at her, calling her a “war criminal” as security moved to take him out as well. “How many people have died in your f***ing name? How many people have died because of Iraq?” he asked.

Once the second protester had been removed, a third stood up, and then a fourth — each criticizing Pelosi for provoking war

CNN Anchor Confronts Republican Presidential Contender With Harsh Polling News

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer blindsided a presidential contender with some harsh polling news on Wednesday.

Blitzer during an interview with former New Jersey Governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie on The Situation Room the CNN anchor asked about a recent New Hampshire poll.

“I want to get your reaction to this new New Hampshire primary poll,” said Blitzer. “Take a look at these numbers.”

Blitzer pointed out, “You have a 10% favorable rating in this New Hampshire Granite State poll. 21% neutral. 64% say it’s unfavorable towards you,” before adding, “That’s not very encouraging, is it?”

        Christie responded:

Well I haven’t seen the poll. This is the first I’ve seen of it, haven’t heard about it, but look, when you’re out there telling the truth, Wolf, and you are pushing hard against the former incumbent president, in the beginning that’s going to be a hard road. That’s going to be uphill to do, but it needs to be done because our primary voters deserve two things. They deserve the truth, they haven’t gotten it from Joe Biden, they haven’t gotten it from Donald Trump. They will get it from me. Secondly, they deserve action on the issues that they care about, and neither Joe Biden or Donald Trump have given them that either.

“I saw a poll in New Hampshire two days ago that showed me half a point behind Ron DeSantis in third place,” he told Blitzer. “So I don’t know what those numbers are all about, but I’ll pick the poll I like, and I like that one that shows me only half a point behind DeSantis.”

According to RealClearPolitics’ poll average, Christie is the seventh most popular Republican presidential candidate across the US at just 2.4%.

Trump Suggests CNN ‘Go Conservative’ Offers to Help Squash Fox News

          5

Former President Trump is reigniting his feud with Fox News. Over the weekend Trump called out the right-leaning cable news network for “pushing Democrats and the Democrat agenda” on TRUTH Social. However, while Trump is no stranger to fighting with Fox News his next message is what truly surprised his supporters.

Trump suggested that far-left news network CNN, which is in the midst of a massive re-branding under new President Chris Licht, “go conservative” and he even offered to help. In his TRUTH message, Trump said the move rightward would likely be a “goldmine” for CNN, but that doesn’t mean Licht is ready to take any business advice from Trump.

          According to Mediaite:

Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day. So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed. RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – Has a big record of losing! Not an easy place to be as a Republican, especially with all of the “pervert” purchased ads. If “low ratings” CNN ever went Conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them to do so!

Trump’s taking issue with “RINO Karl Rove” is nothing new. His openly calling out the programming of Fox News isn’t new either. However, it comes at a time when Fox News’s editorial hand is being somewhat forced by President Joe Biden’s Thursday night speech that called out the extremist nature of MAGA Republicans.

Fox News opinion programming will need to decide whether they are throwing in with the MAGA side of the GOP or will be more interested in a more traditional Republican platform and personality. We know what Trump and his followers want, but the decision will likely come from following what presents a bigger audience and greater revenue windfall.

Outrage as Biden’s Woke Pentagon Funds Travel for Female Troops to Get Out-of-State Abortions

            6

OPINION – The insane leftist overreaction to the reversal of Roe v Wade continues with Joe Biden’s woke Pentagon now providing leave and taxpayer funding for female troops wanting to go out of state to murder their unborn children.

Despite the ready availability of contraceptives throughout the United States, and the availability of abortions in almost all states up to 10 weeks, and with exceptions for rape, incest, and danger to the life of the mother beyond that, Biden’s DoD thinks it is somehow necessary for the American taxpayer to pay for travel to get abortions.

            This is outrageous.

And far too many Americans, conservative or just plain reasonable, are too cowed by the media and the left to say anything or question the insanity.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who has proven to be an absolute embarrassment, announced in a memo how the Pentagon, and taxpayers, will begin paying for female troops and their family members to travel for abortions, under the guise of diabolical leftist doublespeak called ‘access to reproductive healthcare.’

The Pentagon memo repeatedly avoids using the term abortion in the memo and replaces it with the innocuous-sounding ‘reproductive healthcare.’

“The practical effects of recent changes are that significant numbers of service members and their families may be forced to travel greater distances, take more time off from work, and pay more out-of-pocket expenses to receive reproductive health care,” the secretary wrote.

According to Biden’s Pentagon, post-Roe abortion restrictions are hurting recruiting and retention, which is totally unproven and helps divert for the Pentagon’s wokeness being a primary factor in scaring away potential recruits from traditional upbringings.

            As the DoD memo notes:

Under federal law, DOD funds and facilities may only be used to perform abortions where the life of the mother would be endangered if the fetus were carried to term or in a case in which the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape or incest. The most recent statistics show that between 2016 and 2021, a total of 91 abortions were performed in military medical treatment facilities.

That’s a relatively small number. Still, Austin says that:

The department is examining this [Supreme Court] decision closely and evaluating our policies to ensure we continue to provide seamless access to reproductive health care as permitted by federal law.

So, despite the fact that DoD already provides abortions in case of danger to the life of the mother, and provides a slew of contraceptives, and guidance, for its male and female troops, Austin believes the Pentagon and taxpayers should pay for these female troops and their families to travel out of state to get abortions beyond those rules.

This, even though federal law prohibits abortions outside the above-noted parameters.

As National Review writer under the pen name Robert M. Berg notes:

To begin with, there is no reason for the DOD to issue any statement regarding Dobbs. The DOD needs to adjust exactly zero policies to comply with this ruling. It does not affect service members. Yet our DOD leadership could not resist weighing in on a political issue, while taking a swipe at one of the three branches of government enshrined in the Constitution that the military is sworn to uphold.

The DOD has no business reviewing and commenting on Supreme Court decisions. So why do it?

The implication is so that it can find ways to provide abortions to American service members, in clear violation of U.S. law and against the intent of the U.S. Congress. If Congress wants to weigh back into this and provide funds for abortion, then that is its job. It most certainly is not the job of the DOD to question one branch of government and look to circumvent another.

The writer, an active-duty combat-arms officer with 20-plus years of service, adds:

Indeed, following Austin’s comments, the DOD had to issue an official response clarifying its policy. The official memorandum put out by Undersecretary of Defense Gilbert R. Cisneros Jr. softly walked back Austin’s initial statement. The opening paragraph of the memorandum references Secretary Austin’s statement and pretends to echo his message.

However, the first factual statement the memo references is the federal law that restricts DOD funding of abortions. The majority of the memo rehashes that the Dobbs case does not in fact affect military service members. So why even issue a memo at all? That is made clear near the end, when the memo takes veiled political shots at the Supreme Court and issues a statement of intent to try to find ways to circumvent Congress by funding service members’ abortions.

The memo states, “the implications of the Supreme Court’s decision are complicated and must be evaluated against various state laws, together with the views of the Department of Justice.” This statement seems wholly unnecessary, as the entirety of the rest of the memo keeps saying no policies need to be changed. Again, then why do we need a review?

            The writer concludes:

Such actions [only] erode the confidence the American public has in our military and damage our ability to field an effective fighting force. It is no coincidence that, the more political the DOD becomes, the more it must deal with issues such as falling respect for current military service members and difficulty recruiting new ones.

            Very well said Mr. Berg.

I can only pray Congress will investigate and reverse this new policy once the GOP takes control of the House, and possibly Senate, in a mon

With each passing day, it seems as if another prominent Republican is publicly breaking with former President Donald Trump over Republicans’ fewer-than-expected midterm wins.

Over the weekend, conservative influencer Candace Owens broke with the former president, and on Monday former New Jersey Governor also lamented how Trump is a drag for Republican candidates. While the amount of Republicans turning their backs on Trump is jarring these conservatives often have something in common.

FBI Continues Armed Raids Against Peaceful Americans

ANALYSIS – Following Joe Biden’s new rule restricting feds from investigating or arresting journalists and the ongoing outcry against FBI agents using ‘storm-trooper’ SWAT-style raids against peaceful American pro-life activists, the Bureau goes and does it again.

Most recently, Joerg Arnu, owner of www.Dreamlandresort.com, a popular Area 51 website issued a statement after heavily armed federal agents reportedly raided his homes at gunpoint several weeks ago.

Dreamlandresort.com was founded in 1999 and has long hosted information about the restricted military base widely known as Area 51, but also called Homey Airport or Groom Lake.

The extremely well-guarded Area 51 is classified as a ‘Military Operating Area’ by the Pentagon, but for most in the military, it’s simply known as the Nevada Test and Training Range, part of Edwards Air Force Base.

“The base itself is fairly small, but the restricted area around it is over 90,000 acres —  partly to prevent prying eyes and partly because they need to test classified aircraft,” Benjamin Radford, a writer on the subject, told Space.com earlier.

The raid of Arnu’s Nevada home, conducted jointly between the FBI and U.S. Air Force, was first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

In his statement on Nov. 3, Arnu said that an FBI search warrant was executed and his “laptops, phones, backup drives, camera gear and my drone were seized.”

Arnu told Business Insider (BI) that he had “not been charged with a crime,” adding that since the Nov. 3 search, he has “not heard from the FBI agent in charge at all, despite numerous attempts to reach him to discuss the damages and return of my items.”

In response to an inquiry from BI, Lt. Col. Bryon McGarry, with the U.S. Air Force stated minimally that: “Nellis Air Force Base is aware of the joint-AFOSI (Department of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations), FBI investigation involving Mr. Arnu.”

However, as non-informative as the Air Force was, the FBI declined to comment at all.

The Epoch Times reported further on the seemingly outrageous incident:

Elaborating to news outlets, Arnu said that some 15 to 20 federal agents arrived at his home in “full riot gear.” He said the search pertained to photos that were posted on his website.

“The doors were broken open and I in [sic] Rachel and my girlfriend in our Las Vegas home were detained and treated in the most disrespectful way,” he told Insider. “My girlfriend was led out into the street barefoot and only in her underwear in full view of our neighbors; I was led outside, handcuffed and only in t-shirt and sweats in sub-freezing temperatures.”

Arnu added: “I am not sharing anything on my web site that cannot be found on dozens of other web sites and news outlet publications. Considering how this went down I have no intention of removing any more material unless ordered to do so by a federal judge.”

In his interview with Insider and Fox News, Arnu said he will now pursue legal action against the federal government.

“The federal government has the right to harass and traumatize random citizens that are not accused of any crime,” Arnu told Fox on Saturday. “Kick in their doors, manhandle them and take whatever they want from them. Said citizens have no rights whatsoever to reimbursement of their damages, return of their property or compensation for the trauma they were subjected to.”

Arnu added to Fox that “this is America … land of the free.” But now, it’s “not so much from where I am standing right now. Everyone should know about this injustice. It could be your door that is kicked in next!”

The seizure of Arnu’s aerial video drone may hint at a potential motive for the raid, as there are signs all around the military installation warning that photography in the area is prohibited and that drones cannot be flown in its vicinity.

However, if that is the case, then the FBI and AF-OSI should tell Mr. Arnu this and make a public statement to that effect.

Either way, the storm-trooper-type armed raid used against a well-known, elderly amateur journalist is outrageous and just the latest example of the FBI’s increasingly heavy-handed tactics being employed against peaceful American citizens.

Add this to the long list of FBI abuses the new, GOP-led Congress must investigate in 2023.

Longtime Trump Supporter Ditches Ex-President, Endorses GOP Rival

A longtime Trump supporter is cutting ties with the former President, instead choosing to endorse Nikki Haley to become the Republican nominee.

Andrew Stein, the son of the late publishing giant Jerry Finkelstein, served as the president of the New York City Council as a Democrat before crossing party lines to support Trump in the past two elections.

However, in a scathing Wall Street Journal op-ed on Friday, Stein made it absolutely clear that he was moving on from Trump and holds serious concerns about the former president’s ability to be reelected.

                Mediaite has more:

“Mr. Trump’s poll numbers show him with a clear path to the Republican nomination and rising ahead of Joe Biden. Given his mounting legal troubles, however, today’s polling may prove irrelevant. If Mr. Trump is found guilty of some of the charges against him, voters would have to choose between an old felon and an old fool,” Stein wrote in the Journal.

While making the case that Trump is an electoral liability, Stein also argued that Haley is best positioned to win over independents.

“Ms. Haley is likely to have a broader appeal than Mr. Trump for independents and suburbanites, especially women,” Stein wrote, adding:

The Democrats hope he wins the nomination and is convicted of felonies, leading him to lose the presidential election. Republicans need to consolidate around Ms. Haley so they have a credible nominee who can take on any Democrat.
